The end-of-term (EOT) time for the user is set immediately when it’s a buy-now that’s not lifetime access. If it’s a subscription, no EOT time is set before it ends and the payment gateway notifies s2Member. https://s2member.com/kb-article/when-is-an-eot-time-set-for-each-user/

I see what you mean. You can always do a test purchase and see how it goes. For live transactions 1 cent is fine for PayPal, and 50 cents for Stripe. You can enable logging to get insight while troubleshooting. WP Admin > s2Member > Log Files

Yeah, the interface intimidates because it has a lot of documentation right there, and some people get scared. I’m planning to leave just the settings and remove the documentation from there and have it show when clicking a link or something. And reorganize the settings/options a bit, too, simplify it. (and then I’ll have a bunch of people that’re used to the current one, not liking the new one, I can already hear them… lol)
