    Hi Richard.

Can I see s2’s shortcode for the PayPal button? Can I see the page with it?

    hi Cristián,

I’ll email you it directly, ok.

Fixed, payPal button needed to be encrypted, thanks Cristián!

Mind sharing how you fixed it? Which part should be “encrypted” and what kind of encryption?

    Hi Pao.

There’s a button encryption setting in PayPal and s2Member. They need to match, s2 to encrypt it and PP to accept it.

WP Admin > s2Member > PayPal Options > Account Details > Enable Button Encryption

PayPal > Account Settings > Website Preferences > Encrypted Website Payments

I’m having issues with the PayPal checkout and the same error message is popping up. I’ve tried many different browsers as well as clearing my cookies and cache images, but I don’t know what more to do. Please help!

    Hi @dessie1994

Could you explain your setup? Did you check the encryption settings mentioned earlier?

Have you enabled logging? What do the logs say after a test where you get that message? WP Admin > s2Member > Log Files

@dessie1994 have you tried following the explanation links above regarding payPal encryption settings which @clavaque offered to my original question? When I followed his advice, this solved the issue for me.

This is happening to me, only encryption was already turned on.

I had converted my shortcodes into links so i could add them to my own buttons. When creating a new link, I would add it to my site, everything would work fine for around a week, then gradually the buttons I added would stop working, and would get the same error message.
