Hi @hztm,
Thank you for reaching out,
As the Image Title in lightbox is part of the paid version of NextGEN Gallery, could you please submit a support ticket through the NextGEN Gallery account dashboard when you have a chance?
You’re welcome to just include a link to this post if you’d prefer to do that.
I apologize that we’re not able to respond to paid version questions here in the WordPress.org support forums for the free version, but I really appreciate your help!
Thanks!

Hi @wp24zig,
Thank you for reaching out,
Currently, the code that you’ve mentioned wouldn’t work after NextGEN Gallery major code refactoring starting 3.50 version. The code has been changed and even the process to add the code is different and few more steps to follows which might be confusing as normal.
I apologize that we can’t provide what you’re looking for right now however it has been added to our list of feature request and will be implement shortly.
As a workaround, you can display the gallery title separately using a heading block from the editor.
I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks! 🙂
Hi @caparros07,
That’s great!
Please feel free to get back to us of any queries or confusion.
Thanks!
Hi @buck602,
Thank you for reaching out,
Checking with the same album and gallery hierarchy you mentioned, the gallery displays the image fine on my setup at the end. So it doesn’t seem to be an issue appearing from NextGEN Gallery.
I suspect one of the plugins you’re using might be causing the problem, so please try deactivating all the plugins one by one and check if the problem resolves.
Let me know the updates and I will get back to you.
Thanks!
Hi @reksu,
We’d be happy to help!
It seems that you are using the paid version of Envira Gallery. If you have an active license subscription with us, could you please submit a support ticket through the Envira Gallery account dashboard when you have a chance?
For more context, WordPress.org’s goal is to ensure that paying customers and free users get the best support they can, from the ones that can give it.
The WordPress.org forum is moderated by volunteers and as volunteers do not have access to the paid products, they recommend reaching out to the authors of the code, as the issues you are having involve paid gated features, it is better to avoid mixing it with the features of a free plugin or theme.
From there, our support team will be able to take a closer look at your request.
Thanks!

Hi @freggel78,
Thanks for reaching back,
I just wanted to clarify that the messages you sent are not related to NextGEN Gallery. The errors point to core WordPress files (
functions.php).Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Deactivate Plugins: Temporarily deactivate all plugins. This will help isolate the plugin causing the conflict.
- Update WordPress: Ensure your WordPress installation is up-to-date. Outdated versions can sometimes lead to compatibility issues.
You can also request that your hosting provider restore your website from an existing backup on the server. They can also help you identify the root cause of the issue.
I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks!
Hi @wp24zig,
Thank you for reaching out,
Currently, we do not have the option to display the gallery titles with NextGEN Gallery. I do agree it would be super helpful, though. I will add your feature request to our list of requests for it.
I apologize that we can’t provide what you’re looking for right now, but I appreciate the suggestion and any other details you may be able to provide! It’s always helpful to get insights from our users.
Could you please let me know if you have any other questions?
Thanks!

A report has been created about this issue to notify our development team about it. I apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.
I can’t currently provide an ETA for when a fix will be released. However, I’m taking note of this support thread, and I’ll make sure to send you an update when an update that fixes this issue is released.
