Hi @suffiansalam,
Thank you for reaching out!
It looks like there’s aย bugย with the NextGEN Gallery.
A report has been created about this issue to notify our development team about it. I apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime. I can’t currently provide an ETA for when a fix will be released.
However, I’m taking note, and I’ll make sure to send you an update when an update that fixes this issue is released.

To remove the duplication of gallery title appearing on the breadcrumb, please use the following CSS code inside WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:
ul.ngg-breadcrumbs:nth-of-type(2) {
display: none !important;
}I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?

It seems that you are using the paid version of NextGEN Gallery. If you have an active license subscription with us, could you please submit a support ticket through the NextGEN Gallery account dashboard when you have a chance? For more context, WordPress.orgโs goal is to ensure that paying customers and free users get the best support they can, from the ones that can give it.
The WordPress.org forum is moderated by volunteers and as volunteers do not have access to the paid products, they recommend reaching out to the authors of the code, as the issues you are having involve paid gated features, it is better to avoid mixing it with the features of a free plugin or theme.
From there, our support team will be able to take a closer look at your request.
Thanks!
Hi @tomsh,
Sorry for the delayed response,
The issue was fixed earlier, but it has again been replicated, and the team is working to fix it permanently so that it doesn’t get repeats anytime soon. Actually, there are other few high priority bugs that need to be addressed soon, so the team is planning to release everything at once. It’s taking a bit more time to get the fix done, and I apologize to you for that.
However, I’m taking note of this support query, and I’ll make sure to share you an update when an update that fixes this issue is released.
I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks! ๐
Hi @vikazz,
Thanks for reaching out,
Checking from my end, the thumbnail appears to be totally fine on the desktop mode. All the image looks good and is not stretched or cropped like the one you shared in the screenshot above.
In case this helps, please refer to the screenshot here.
Moreover, if the issue still appears on your devices, I recommend checking the site on someone’s devices to confirm the issue persists only on your device.
Let me know the updates and I will get back to you accordingly.
Thanks!
Hi @pinot-fish,
Thank you for reaching out,
NextGEN Gallery is fully compatible with the latest version of WordPress 6.7. The information will be updated shortly on .org platform.
No, any reports of the incompatibility issue with NextGEN Gallery and WP 6.7 have been reported, so I recommend using the latest version of WordPress with NGG.
Incase you get any issues while using both, please let us know here and we will look into it further.
Thanks!
Hi @goldio123,
Thank you for reaching out,
The duplicate image in the lightbox occurs because the lightbox feature is enabled in both the Envira Gallery and the OceanWP theme on your setup. To resolve this, youโll need to disable the lightbox in either the Envira Gallery or the OceanWP theme.
To turn off the lightbox in Envira Gallery, follow the instructions provided here: Envira Gallery Lightbox Options.
If you prefer to disable the lightbox through the theme, please reach out to the OceanWP theme support team. They will guide you through the process to disable it.
I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks
Hi @jamminjames,
Sorry to hear about the trouble,
I suspect one of the plugins you’re using might be causing the problem, so please try deactivating all the plugins except the NextGEN Gallery one by one and check if the problem resolves.
If the problem resolves, please activate the plugin one by one to check the one causing the issue on your end.
Let me know how it went and I will get back to you accordingly.
Thanks!
Hi @mariogroleau,
Thank you for reaching out,
With NextGEN Gallery, each image is added to the database when uploaded. When an image is moved from one gallery to another gallery, it completely removes the image from the old gallery and a new image ID is set up at the new gallery. This is how NextGEN Gallery is intended to work.
Regarding the tutorial you’ve seen, where the ID didn’t change after moving the image from one gallery to another, it’s possible that it uses some other version of NextGEN Gallery or the move process was customized.
With NextGEN Gallery there’s not such setting allowing you to have the similar ID even after moving the images from one gallery to another. You’ll need to avoid moving the images frequently or manually update the shortcode every time the image is moved.
ย I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks!

Hi @onix777,
Sorry for the trouble with galleries,
Creating a large number of galleries can cause various issues on your end. Although NextGEN Gallery doesn’t have any limitation on the number of galleries you’ll be creating, lack of server resources might slow down the process with image upload on galleries.
I suggest contacting your hosting support and asking about your server’s limitations for managing large galleries. Also request them to upgrade the server limitation and PHP since you have large galleries.
Moreover, you can compress the image before uploading, which makes the image file smaller without sacrificing its quality. You can find various Image Compression tools in the wpbeginner article here.
I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks! ๐
