When you keep the browser open, BackupGuard captures the backup with AJAX reloads. In other words the entire backup is being captured chunk by chunk, but not at once. This is a configurable option from the settings section. Please checkout the following documentation regarding this option: https://backup-guard.com/products/backup-wordpress/doc/chunk-by-chunk-backup. This is one of the main feature BackupGuard implements. This way we bypass well known max execution timeout server limitation. Hope I could provide a clue regarding your question.
P.S. As other backup solutions, BackupGuard dumps your database and compresses wp-content directory. WordPress core related files aren’t being included in the backup archives, because they aren’t important for restoration.
If you need more details, please don’t hesitate to ask them. I’ll try my best to clarify them for you.

First of all, I’d like to outline BackupGuard support Multisite WordPress installations. Just one minor note for you, it’s a network level tool. This means you can backup & restore/migrate the entire network, but not just a single website from the network.
If you want to restore any backup from Google Drive, you should:
* Link your Google Account
* Import the backup from Google

Could you please let us know what’s your ticket number, so we’ll check the status and reason why you’ve not received our response yet? There’s no unanswered tickets, so it’s little bit difficult for us to understand which one was assigned to you?
P.S. Please don’t be offensive, there’s no scum. All the information you provide us is safe and is being used only for investigations. And is being deleted after investigations.

Please follow the steps listed here to install/activate Pro version again:
* Login to your personal dashboard here: https://backup-guard.com (your credentials were sent to you via email)
* Navigate to “Products” section and download the Pro package
* Login to WordPress and uninstall Free version from your dashboard if it’s installed
* Install the downloaded Pro version like described in the link: https://backup-guard.com/products/backup-wordpress/doc/install-backupguard-pro
* Login to BackupGuard plugin with the same credentials and complete authorizationIf you’re still unable to get this done, please open a support ticket here for this: https://backup-guard.com/products/backup-wordpress/support

The resolution of this varies depending on server/hosting configurations. Sometimes the reason could be related to the low level memory or to execution timeout configurations. So, you can check this configuration at first.
If you’re comfortable to open a support ticket and send your backup/restore log files, we could investigation the situation for you.

Have you checked out the permissions of the mentioned directory: “/var/www/dsdapp/wp-content/uploads/backup-guard/”? Try to set it 755 and check if this resolves your issue or not.
If the mentioned resolution didn’t solve your issue, please try to reinstall the plugin. I guess you don’t have an access to your dashboard, right? So try to connect over FTP client and delete “wp-content/plugins/backup” path. If you’re running Pro version, then you should remove a path pointing Pro version (e.g. for Sliver version you should remove “wp-content/plugins/backup-guard-silver”). Now the plugin should be disabled and you can login to your dashboard to reinstall it again.
