• I backed up a website wanting to restore it on a local computer. I downloaded the backup. It’s a proprietary format and not just a zip file, so it was useless to me.

    Update: you can extract the archive using the proprietary, free-to-download, tool here: https://backup-guard.com/downloads but I haven’t tested that.

    Yes, it’s proprietary format. But as you see we provide a native desktop software to unpack/extract SGBP archives. You can check it out here: https://backup-guard.com/downloads.
