Hi,
The WAF is a new addition to Wordfence. All of the previous security functionality is still in Wordfence and is available if the WAF is enabled or not. So, in short, you are protected. The WAF is another layer of security.
We have a help document posted that addresses most of the .ini issues we’re seeing. See if this helps. If not, please let us know who you use for hosting and your configuration.

Thanks!
BrianHi Rick,
Are you wanting to customize email notifications?

Hi,
I get a certificate error/warning when I go to your site. Is SSL configured correctly? Also, have you tried removing Wordfence and table data? Try that and see if your site starts functioning again. If so, then try reinstalling Wordfence and see how it functions with the default settings.
Hope that helps,
BrianHi,
It looks like there is quite a bit of feature overlap with Wordfence regarding the plugins you mentioned. I would start with them disabled when you enable Wordfence. If you decide to use Wordfence full-time, you should leave them disabled or remove.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Wordfence Security - Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security] 503 issuesHi,
What’s the text of the 503 error? Does it mention Wordfence or is it generic? Are you using Cloudflare or a reverse proxy with your site?
Thanks for the additional information in advance!
BrianHi Karen,
Yes, it does sound like the version number did not get incremented.
On the API error, will you try running another scan and let us know if you get the same error?
Thanks,
BrianHi,
It sounds like you are having database read/write issues. Can you have your hosting company check your permissions and run a repair on your DB?

Hi,
Is the issue happening in multiple browsers? Try emptying your browser cache and checking for the cache comment.
Also, Falcon does not currently include browser caching. You can use custom lines in .htaccess for this
Thanks,
BrianHi Mike,
Sorry if you’ve already done this, but have your checked spam just to make sure it’s not ending up there?

Hi,
Are you having issues with any other settings not saving correctly? Is AJAX in wp-admin working normally?
Thanks,
BrianHi,
Sorry there has been a delay. Please contact us at billing (at) wordfence.com. Due to forum rules we can’t address paid products here, but I will alert the team to be on the lookout for your email.
Thanks for understanding,
BrianHi,
If you send the files to samples (at) wordfence.com, we can take a look and see why they are not being flagged.
Thanks for your help!
BrianHi,
Has your site been infected or are you saying you’re seeing this activity after Wordfence was activated? Normally, when you see users being added to your DB, there is a hole somewhere. Update everything and deactivate any themes and plugins you are not using. Also, if you are on a shared server, another infection on the same server can cause issues with your instance.
Has my site been hacked? How to Check
-Brian
The most common reason for a block is failed attempts to login with a username. As you are probably aware, you can see the user names that attempted to login along with the IP in Live Traffic. You could cross reference the blocked IP’s with Live Traffic and get more information on the cause of the block.

Hi,
Are you using Live Traffic? Here is a previous post with some suggestions on reducing the database size. Give it a look and see if that helps.
Thanks!
