Hi,
We run an algorithm that determines if the visitor’s behavior is a human or a bot. The visitor starts out classified as a bot and if human behavior is detected the status is changed to human. It is reliable, but occasionally a visitor is not categorized correctly.
Hope that helps,
BrianHi,
Look for a site that will decode PHP. This was the first one I found by doing a search.
Just paste the code there and it will decode it.
Hope that helps!
BrianHi,
We have steps to configure the WAF available here that has resolved the error for others:
https://docs.wordfence.com/en/Web_Application_Firewall_Setup
Let me know if that helps or not, and we can troubleshoot further.
Thanks!
BrianHey lordvader,
How’ve you been? Good question on the hackers! Maybe they went on vacation? Ha. In my experience, attacks from regions come in waves. I’m sure they’ll be back soon enough.
Thanks,
BrianHi,
Looks like it is a false positive. There is more information in this thread:

Thanks for using Wordfence!
BrianHi,
Thanks for the question! Wordfence does not change files or permissions outside of the Wordfence directory.
I hope that helps!
-BrianHi,
If you haven’t yet, try disabling Live Traffic. Doing so will use less processing on your site. How much memory is allocated to your site?
Thanks,
BrianHi,
Is this a new install of Wordfence or have you upgraded recently?
Here’s how you regain access to your site:
The easiest way to solve this problem immediately is to simply rename the Wordfence folder in your WordPress installation. You can do that as follows:
Connect to your server using the method your normally use to upload files. Most people either use FTP or SFTP to do this.
Rename the Wordfence directory (or folder if you prefer). If your site has the standard WordPress structure, you can do this by simply renaming the following folder: wp-content/plugins/wordfence/-Brian
Hi,
What versions of WordPress and Wordfence are you running? If you disable all plugins but Wordfence, does Live Traffic start displaying?
Thanks,
BrianHi,
You may want to try removing Wordfence and table data completely and doing a reinstall of Wordfence. That will get you new database tables. If you want to restore settings to the live site, you could export them from your backup domain.
Hope that helps!
-BrianHi,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Were previous versions of Wordfence working with Windows on GoDaddy. As you may know, we don’t officially support Windows but if you have any other information, I can provide it to the development team.

Thanks!
BrianThanks everyone for your help. We really appreciate the patience and overall awesomeness you displayed while we worked through this. The diagnostics you sent in were very helpful too! I’m going to mark this post as resolved since we’ve determined the issue is due to compatibility issues with other plug-ins on WordPress 4.5. If anyone is still having an issue, please start a new thread so we can troubleshoot those cases separately.
Thanks!
BrianAll,
jQuery was updated in WordPress 4.5. It looks like the sites that are having issues with Live Traffic have a plugin other than Wordfence that is not compatible with the new version of WordPress 4.5. Make sure all of your plugins are 4.5 compatible.
This post outlines all of the issues with WordPress 4.5.

Live Traffic and all of the protection of Wordfence are still working even if a plugin conflict interferes with the display of Live Traffic. Bottom line…your site is still protected if this issue affects you.
The current workarounds are:
-Roll back to an earlier version of WordPress
-Disable any non-4.5 compatible pluginsHope that helps clear up the issue.
-Brian@bluebearmedia, will you please send me a diagnostic report from your site? On the on Diagnostic page, there is an option to Send Report by Email. If you change the name to brian from samples it will be sent to me.
Thanks!
Hi all,
I’ve spoken with the development team and the new version of Wordfence was tested extensively on WP 4.5. Is everyone experiencing the issue running 4.5 of WordPress with version 6.1.3 of Wordfence? @bluebearmedia mentioned rolling back to an earlier version of WordPress and that Wordfence started working. That tells us that there may be a conflict with another plugin when running version 4.5 of WordPress. If possible, try disabling all plugins except for Wordfence. Does normal function resume? If so, try enabling a plugin at a time until the issue comes back. That will help narrow down the conflict.
Thanks!
Brian
