Passing this on to have investigated.
Thanks!
brianHi Tom,
If you run another scan does the warning still appear? The databases may have been out of sync temporarily after a new plugin is released.
Thanks,
brianHi,
I’m speculating here but Google could be using an outdated database to determine the location based on the IP. Is that the only discrepancy you are seeing?

Hello,
Will it let you try to install Wordfence again? We don’t officially support Azure Websites so I’m not super familiar with what could be causing the issue.

Hi Nick,
I’ll pass this on to the developers. Thanks for taking the time to share it!

Hi,
Try updating the theme and then run another scan. If the scan comes back positive again then you’ll need to clean the site.

Hi again,
To backup the .htaccess file, use FTP and save a copy to your computer. Once you have the backup of .htaccess you can always copy it back to your server.
See the following link on backing up the actual WordPress database.

Hi Ted,
I’m running Wordfence on a http only site and it detects issues. There shouldn’t be any difference between http and https as far as Wordfence is concerned.

Googlebot is what Google sends out to crawl web content for indexing in their search engine. Googlebots use a specific user agent to identify themselves as being from Google. Fake Googlebots try to impersonate the real thing. Why is this bad? Everyone wants their site indexed by Google so allowing real Googlebots to visit a site is required to make it happen. By impersonating a Googlebot, an impostor can use the special treatment and access we grant real Googlebots against us. Fake Googlebots can steal content and inject spam into sites.
Hope that helps explain it.
-BrianHi,
It looks as though the database tables didn’t install properly. You may want to check permissions on your database. I’d recommend removing Wordfence and it’s table data and retrying the install.
Also, make sure you meet the system requirements.

Is this with the latest version (5.3.12)?
Thanks,
BrianHi,
There must be some vulnerability left in your site somewhere. I’d suggest updating your theme and plug-ins. Disable any plug-ins (or delete entirely) that are not needed. Change users passwords.

Hi Pat,
I’m assuming you are using Falcon and not basic caching, correct? There are some good suggestions on this thread. Specifically, check out what Mark has to say.

Let us know if that helps,
-BrianI was able to get blocked on an iPad with Retina display. Try increasing the number of accesses allowed per minute.
