Hi!
Thanks for trying out Wordfence. Here is a document with some settings to try adjusting on your end. This is the first place to start. Please report back if you are still having trouble.
Thanks!
BrianHi,
Do you see these logins frequently or is this a new development? I wouldn’t think you should see these logins but there may be something else going on.
Thanks,
BrianHi,
The wfHoover table stores links on your site that are checked against the Google Safe Browsing list of known URLs that are malicious. The table should be pruned after each scan. The size of your table does not seem normal. You can manually empty the table using something like phpMyAdmin. Makes sure to deactivate Wordfence first, perform the table modification, and then reenable Wordfence. Keep an eye on the table size and report back if it grows that large again so we can troubleshoot further.
Thanks!
BrianHi,
Is Wordfence installed currently? I’m assuming it is not from your post. If that is the case, you should check with your hosting company to determine why you do not have access to your site. Once you can access, then install Wordfence.
If Wordfence is installed, then here are instructions to regain access.
Thanks!
BrianHi,
Are you using WooCommerce for your shopping cart? It is compatible with Falcon and SSL. If not, let us know what you are using and we can look into it further.
Thanks!
BrianHi,
Will you send the files to samples (at) wordfence.com to have them examined? It’s best to run the most up-to-date versions of themes and plugins. I understand this may not be possible at this time since the site has been customized. I’m afraid you’ll have to be a bit more hands-on with examining older files.

Hi,
It sounds like the human traffic is not getting logged in the database. When you uninstalled, did you check the box to remove table data? If not, try uninstalling again and removing table data. That will create fresh Wordfence tables upon reinstall.
Thanks!
-BrianHi,
Do you have Falcon Caching enabled?
Thanks,
BrianHi,
Start with these instructions to adjust some scan settings.

If that doesn’t help, please report back and we can troubleshoot further.
Thanks!
BrianWhen the options won’t save that usually points to an issue with tables in the database from a bad install. The quickest solution is to remove Wordfence and table data and do a clean install of the plugin.
Let us know if that helps. If not, we can troubleshoot further.
Thanks!
BrianHi,
Will you please try the Connectivity Test and report back if it passes or fails?
Thanks,
BrianHi,
When an IP breaks a rule, for example trying to login with the username ‘admin’, the IP is blocked from accessing your site for the time you have set in your firewall rules. The default time is a 5 minute block. That keeps the IP from accessing your site for 5 minutes but doesn’t prevent another IP from coming along and using the username ‘admin’. When another user comes along using ‘admin’, they will then be blocked for 5 minutes and so on. In short, an attempt at logging in with ‘admin’ must be made before the rule is actually broken and that is why you get an alert when someone fails to login with ‘admin’.
Hope that helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
-BrianStan,
Thanks for reporting back. Here are some steps to try that toggle how often the scans start and stop.
You could also try disabling Live Traffic and then see how a scan runs. Doing so will reduce the processing power required by your server.
Finally, make sure your site has enough memory. We recommend 128MB for best results.
Let us know if this helps or not.
Thanks!
-BrianHi,
Are you having an issue with a conflict between the two or are you wanting to know if there is a known conflict between them? From what I can tell, there should not be a conflict. A 2 factor system like YUBICO makes the login much more secure.
Thanks!
BrianHi Stefan,
Since Wordfence was working normally, I’d suspect a change that was made to be a suspect. Are you able to test and put the site back the way it was before the changes? Then add back one change at a time to see where you lose the proper functionality.
