@elvis We try to abide by the dynamic nature of the Internet, so we avoid automatically banning IP’s forever. It is a bit of a manual process, but it guarantees that permanently blocked IP’s are blocked on purpose by you.
Hi,
If you can’t save, then there is likely an issue with AJAX. Check for errors in the javascript error console in a web browser when trying to save. Post back the errors and we can see where they lead.

Hi,
Yes, here’s how…In Live Traffic, click Block on the IP you want to block permanently. Then go to Blocked IP’s and find the IP you just blocked. Click Block Permanently. Done!

Hi,
Try removing Wordfence and all table data and then do a clean reinstall. That should take care of it.

Hi,
Are you behind a reverse proxy? If so, you may want to try adjusting how Wordfence gets IP’s.

Hi,
You can exclude similar files in future scans so you can avoid the false positive.

Is that still happening? When we’ve seen it in the past, it usually temporary?

In reply to: [Wordfence Security - Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security] Conflict?Hi,
If Wordfence hasn’t changed, are there any other changes that happened to your site? Did the SNAP plugin get updated?
-Brian
Hi,
Try excluding the file it is hanging on. Backup files can be large and hard to scan.

Hi,
If you did not change your DNS, then I’d say it is a false positive. If you get more notifications, then you may consider confirming your DNS settings. If the results are false, you can disable the feature under Options. “Scans to include” and uncheck “Scan for unauthorized DNS changes.”

Could be a good bet. It’s a good to only have one cache plugin active at a time.

Hi,
That sounds like something is blocking AJAX in wp-admin. Check you JavaScript console for errors. You may want to check with your hosting provider and have them check the permissions on wp-admin.

Hi,
The lost password page should still work with Wordfence. I just double-checked on a test site. The only option we provide is “Alert when the “lost password” form is used for a valid user” so it shouldn’t be disabled. If you deactivate Wordfence, do you get the functionality back?
Thanks,
BrianHi,
Are you running any other cacheing plugins or just Falcon?
