In reply to: [Storefront] Translating Storefront – questionsTagging Modlook, just means you get a now slightly grumpy moderator to stare at a thread for 5 minutes wondering why they were summoned.
It should be added when in your opinion a forum moderator needs to take action on a post or thread. This would be when private information such as email addresses, phone numbers, login information or other personal information has been posted. A moderator can then edit the post to remove that information.
Using this tag to try and get quicker help will not work.
It is not their for providing second opinions. Many moderators including myself monitor the modlook tag by RSS and get instant notifications, meaning you are also disturbing what ever else we were doing on our Sunday morning.

In reply to: [TechGasp Pin Master] uselessIt might be more helpful for others, as well as the plugin owner to perhaps expand on why you feel the plugin is useless.
To put bluntly a review that just says useless is well useless to everyone without context.

In reply to: Erratic plugin – List Sub PagesNormally erratic plugins that loose functionality do so because something has changed, maybe you updated the plugin or it did so automatically? Then a few days later you updated it again, when developer pushed out a fix?
More complicated plugins might use cron jobs and other actions, that may take time to finish or may get corrupted. Browser issue you may have had a temporary issue with the browser that was making the plugin unresponsive.
You might have had another plugin installed or a theme that was interfering. Without a lot more detail it could have been pretty much anything.
If it happens again, try to note down what has changed recently and then drop a note on the plugins support forum
Afraid not easily, moving between non plugin forums is easy, the sub forums for plugins uses the dark arts not known to mere moderators.
edit: To clarify currently it’s not easy to move topics to plugin specific forums I’m afraid, always best to keep an eye on tags for your associated plugins. Where possible we suggest people post/repost in the plugin forum to start with.

In reply to: Completely remove dashboardBy default the admin bar is not showed to logged out users, if it’s showing then most likely either a plugin or your theme is adding it, or if you use a caching plugin it’s misbehaving.

In reply to: Make every Features enable or disable from KernelWordPress is already highly modular in nature through use of plugins, however it’s still at it’s heart a blogging system/CMS there have been projects in the past to just create a very small skeleton. The most successful of which is BackPress though its not a particularly active project.

In reply to: Video comparison siteThis question is a bit to open and vague, for anyone to answer really, the vague answer is you will need a combination of a theme and a few plugins to do what you want, probably the best place to start is a google for How to be build a comparison site in WordPress. Look at their theme and plugin suggestions. Then look for the plugins here on w.org and have a play to see if they fit your need.
