Sorry for the delay. I’m looking into the issue.
Could you confirm that when you create and publish a new post and then use the Get Shortlink button, that this error is still happening?
Thanks!
Edit that post and click the Get Shortlink button and try the new shortlink it gives you, please. Does that one work?
We run the Jetpack Contact Form through an Akismet check whether you have a subscription or not. You’d need to get the Akismet subscription if you want your comments checked, as well.
I should’ve included this in my above question, sorry: what is the full URL that the shortlink should go to?
Currently there is not an easy way to edit the message after an email is sent. We are reworking the contact form and it may become more easy in the future.
There are no plans to integrate captchas. All submissions through the contact form are submitted to Akismet to be spam checked before they are actually delivered.
There are no current plans to change the from address. As it stands, we follow the same practice that WordPress core emails do by sending from “WordPress@YourDomain.com.” If you add a new user to your WordPress install, for example, you’ll see the same email address that we use.
For placing Sharing icons in other areas of your template: this is on our roadmap to look at at some point. One of the biggest limitations we face is that we need to find a common place to hook into templates and, since not all templates are created equally, we are limited. This is one reason why we chose to place the icons where they are now;
the_contentis one of the only template hooks that is commonly enough used for us to rely on always having, no matter what theme is active. Thanks, also, for the feedback 🙂
Could you share one of the shortlinks that isn’t working? If you want to keep it private, please send us a ticket.
Take a look at this doc: http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Installing_Plugins
I’m seeing a lot of errors like
Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL http://www.isaacbrody.com/ from frame with URL http://www.youtube.com/embed/b_wnD6jxREU?version=3&rel=1&fs=1&showsearch=0&showinfo=1&iv_load_policy=1&wmode=transparent. Domains, protocols and ports must match.I’m not sure if these would cause the problem you are having, but it is something to look at.
If you deactivate Jetpack, everything works as you expect?
Stay tuned. The comment system is one of the many new features we are working on.

Deactivating plugins should not delete data. With themes, your widgets may end up in the Inactive Widgets section (with their data intact).
Ron, I just discovered that the reason this shortcode is broken is because the service that it used, Slide.com, has gone out of business. We’ll remove that shortcode in the next Jetpack update. My apologies!
Yes, please try disabling other plugins and see if that helps. WordPress Firewall 2 might be a candidate that is blocking Jetpack requests for some reason.
@steve.davis@t4america.org: could you try a different browser? I’m curious to know if maybe something got cached while things were broken yesterday.
