It does not look like Piotnet Forms supports Akismet, but I found a feature request in their public Trello board to do so: https://trello.com/c/k0QPyNJq/67-akismet-integration
Since integrating with the Akismet API needs to be implemented in their code, it would be up to their developers to produce this feature.
My recommendation would be to upvote the feature request from the link I posted above.

Google themselves mention that:
- Low-quality content on some parts of a website can impact the whole site’s rankings.
- Google might remove or demote pages overrun with user-generated spam to protect the quality of our search results.
So running Akismet to protect your site from such spam should have a positive effect on your overall ranking.

Our signup flow, documentation, and terms of services all clearly state that Akismet is only free for personal sites/use, and that commercial use requires a paid subscription.
From what I can tell in our records (based on your avatar and username), theonestopblogshop opted to ignore those clear requirements, and abused a free API key for years to provide Akismet services to its own paying customers (which amounted to around 200 sites). We reached out to point that fact out in February 2019, and when not action was taken on theonestopblogshop’s side, we ended up suspending that account for violation of our terms of services.

The difference is time, and the amount of related signals Akismet got, web-wide (like you or others marking something that was missed as spam). The API “learns” based on the signals we get from all of the sites that use AKismet, and is therefore able to make a better decision by the time you’re re-checking the comments.

The easiest way is for you to log in to https://akismet.com/account/ with the credentials for the account that is still being billed (the email address where you are receiving the receipts is the one you’ll need to use to login), and cancel your Akismet plan/subscription from there.

I suspect this was due to some caching on your or our side, and it “fixed itself” once the cache got properly cleared, or expired.
