In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Vulnerable on Current Version – 2.4.1Hi there, @onjomax
There was a miscommunication by the Patchstack author. The issue is actually fixed in 2.4.1; but we had not specifically mentioned it in the readme. I guess they didn’t check the code. π€

In reply to: [SyntaxHighlighter Evolved] No hiliting in Classic EditorHi @jlwp123. I’ve logged this in our tracking systems to look into as soon as we can, but provided this context, it might not be right away. We’ll get back to you when we have a chance to reproduce and figure this out. π

In reply to: [Regenerate Thumbnails] Last 24hFor some additional context, @saguya : our dearest Alex, original developer of this plugin, lost his battle with Leukemia in 2019, and has since left our world. We, his friends and colleagues, have committed to provide support for his open source plugins, but we have fairly limited resources to do so. Hence @drawmyface’s reply above. Thanks for your understanding, and hoping you will still get to enjoy Alex’s work for what they provide you with.

In reply to: [Regenerate Thumbnails] Problems to regenerate pictures on R2.Hi there,
With all the “moving parts” involved in your setup, as well as the fact that it does not sound like it’s consistently happening, the best way to trace what might be happening would be to enable
WP_DEBUGandWP_DEBUG_LOG. That way, if it happens again, there might be valuable error data in those logs that we could then help you analyze. As it stands, even if we tried to reproduce your exact configuration, we might not get the same results/symptoms, as we’d still not be on the same network, etc.- This reply was modified 7 months, 3 weeks ago by Stephane Daury (stephdau).

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Porn Spam Comments Please Help!Hi there,
Glad to hear that Akismet is at least catching all those for you.
The fact that you updated the post (not necessarily what you updated it with) might have made the latter resurface in places that might track your blog (search engines, blog aggregators, etc) as “new”, which in turn might have triggered he spam influx. Spammers thrive on new content, because they assume that it’s where engagement will happen, and they’ll get the most proverbial eyeballs if their spam makes it through.
It’s an unfortunate reality of publishing online, and in part why Akismet exists. π

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Massive spam in French languageHi there.
We’ll see what we can do in regards to your missed spam reports, but a more effective way could be to better target the ad campaign that most of those submitters seems to be coming from to only German speakers. The one that includes the following Google parameters when someone clicks on it:?gad_source=5&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjPaX-cOtiAMVKplQBh040BFdEAAYASAAEgKk-- This reply was modified 1 year, 8 months ago by Stephane Daury (stephdau).

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Akismet ONLY for registration formHi there,
I don’t think there is an easy way or built-in way to do this because I see in FluentForm’s Akismet documentation that they stipulate “But be notified that you wonβt see this option if Akismet is not already activated on the site.”
What that means is that they rely on the Akismet WordPress plugin, instead of interacting with our API directly. Because the former is originally specifically built to handle comments, achieving this would involve your writing custom code to nullify some of its actions and filters, which would likely require constant maintenance on your end when we upgrade the plugin over time.
Doesn’t sound like a very viable solution, unfortunately.
Hi there,
This is the support forum for the Akismet anti-spam plugin for WordPress, which doesn’t sound like what you were looking for. π
Maybe this WooCommerce documentation on digital/downloadable product handling will help.Forum: Plugins
