In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] SPAM Registration AttemptsHi there,
Are you using the Elementor’s built-in features to code the form?
If so, the issue is that Elementor does not integrate with the AKismet plugin and API, unfortunately, unlike plugins like Jetpack or many other form building plugins.

Hi there @silentz0r .
Thanks for the report. We were actually aware of it (as of yesterday), and there’s already a fix queued up, in the original ticket for the cleanup feature.
Unfortunately, we don’t have control over the bbPress releases, so the fix will only go live as they are able to.
Hi there,
There are quite a few options for you to leverage the Akismet API from PHP.
If you are still doing so in a WordPress context, you can integrate with the functions/methods/filters/actions available in the Akismet plugin, as most other plugins do (contact forms, etc).
The alternative is to use one of the many PHP libraries that also make interacting with the API very easy.
And last but not least, you can also integrate with the API yourself, with the help of our documentation.

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Akismet premiumHi there,
Since this is not a personal site, but a commercial news site, which displays ads, etc, you would need to at least subscribe to one of our Plus plans.
See details here: https://docs.akismet.com/getting-started/free-or-paid/

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Bugs on my website@boplinger : that’s just it. GD has their own WP upgrade workflow, and it doesn’t always behave the way one would expect, sometimes failing altogether. Akismet os a bit of a special case, because it is also bundled with WP, and is setup as an external of the main WP repository.
