    Hi @mikecooter

    What a great intel!

Thanks for taking the time to do the conflict test and it comes down to Avada that isn’t compatible with WooCommerce Payments Express checkout button on product pages.

Perhaps something has been overlooked, maybe the <iframe> containing the call for “https://js.stripe.com/v3/elements-inner-payment-request-xxxxx” on Product pages isn’t allowed by Avada?

I can’t really confirm. But if that is the case, then I’d suggest reaching to Avada to alert them about it. I think they should be in a position to make their theme compatible with our WooCommerce Payments plugin which is getting used widely now.

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to let us know!

    Hi @mikecooter

I had been using Stripe with my WooCommerce store for the last few years with no problems – but I was unable to activate the new ‘Express Checkouts’ features (I kept getting pop-up notice saying ‘Error Saving Settings’).

While researching the error I saw the new WooCommerce Payments plugin and deciede to switch over – and it is mostly working fine.

    Thanks for using our products!

However, if I tick the checkbox next to ‘Product Page’ (on the Express Checkouts settings page) the Buy Now fails to be displayed on any of the Product Pages, yet the ‘–OR–‘ separator is still shown. This results in a confusing arrangement of the Quantity buttons, then ‘–OR–‘ then the Add To Basket button.

That’s really odd! I don’t have any issue when enabling Express checkout, Apple Pay on product pages, this kind of issue that you’re facing is usually caused by some conflicts.

First thing is to try switch to a WooCommerce compatible theme like Storefront or Twenty Twenty and see if the issue is still there or not.

Here’s a more extensive explanation in our docs about conflict testing: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    I hope that helps!

    Hi @danikas

That’s the thing, it does not let me choose the page, it automatically has chosen the old one which is deleted and I can’t change it, there is no option.

We’re going to do two steps here:

Step 1 – Add the page to your Business Manager, if it’s not there yet so you can select that later during the reconnection

Step 2 – Remove all data of the previous Facebook for WooCommerce connection

    Step 1

    – Go to this URL, and select the Business Manager you want to add the page to: https://business.facebook.com/settings/pages/

    – See the screenshot below, and then do a couple of things:

    Link to image: https://d.pr/AozEHp

(Click on the Pages, and check the list of Pages connected on the Business Manager, if the new page you created isn’t there, click Add, and click Add a page.

When that’s done, let’s move to step 2.

    Step 2

Next Steps: Remove FB for WooCommerce from Database

What we want to do next is to completely remove the Facebook for WooCommerce data stored in your WordPress database.

    – First of all, please backup your database [Important]

    – Deactivate Facebook for WooCommerce

    – Please navigate to your phpMyAdmin page, you might want to ask your host if you’re not sure, and then navigate to the SQL section and paste the code below into the white box, lastly please click Go:

    https://d.pr/3iYHSw
    Link to image: https://d.pr/3iYHSw

Click for the code to paste.

Sidenote: Sometimes some WordPress database has a unique table prefix, the most common prefix is wp, so the table will start like wp_options, but if your database has a different prefix, please ensure to adjust accordingly the above code.

Once the above data removal is completed, please reactivate Facebook for WooCommerce and then go back to Marketing > Facebook, and click Get Started.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi @naklovan

    Thanks for honest feedback!

We’re working tirelessly to improve the plugin.

Your last update has too many bugs with woocommerce. conflict product description, stock, price etc.

We’re happy to learn more about the problems with the latest update so we can resolve them.

Are you able to share more details?

    Hi @joyryde

Apologies that the resource that was shared before isn’t for Google Listing & Ads, it’s for a different plugin: https://woocommerce.com/products/google-product-feed/

With Google Listing & Ads, it appears that it’s not possible currently to detect existing GTIN and map those with the products synced by Google Listing & Ads.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi @wearedigito

I see that the cart includes discounts ($346.80) but Apple Pay checkout shows it’s excluding discounts ($408).

This is usually caused by two factors:

    – Stripe plugin is a bit outdated, so please make sure that it’s up to date
    – Or this can be caused by conflicts

Can you please try to run a conflict test with WooCommerce + Stripe alone, and see if the problem can be reproduced consistently?

Here’s the comprehensive guide to do conflict test: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    Hi @thiess79

    Thanks for your report!

The log mainly points to this line:

Error message: Uncaught Exception: Jetpack authorization header error.

Could you please check if you have a working Jetpack connection at the moment?

If it’s installed, please try to disconnect and reconnect Jetpack.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi @dav74

    Thanks for your question!

Update. The first 2 questions above are well explained in your plugin documentation, so it is really only the question ‘3’ to answer

    Noted!

    3. If we want to measure conversions in Google Ads, do we need to still have a seperate snippet added to the “order-received” (thank you) page?

Yes, you’d have to use a separate tracking to do that.

As far as I am aware WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration isn’t able to track conversions from Google Ads.

You can have a look at this article on how to add conversion tracking linked to conversion snippet from Google Ads.

Also can you briefly tell me why we would want to add the UA tracking ID to the Gtag code (you list an extra snippet for this)? Surely the new Gtag does everything the previous UA code does and we can just forget teh UA code if using the new GA4 property.

I’d say this is in case that you want to keep the old UA code to keep the Ecommerce enhance feature.

As Google is working on the ecommerce tracking for GA4, if you have more question about that you can reach out to Google here: https://support.google.com/analytics/gethelp

    I hope that helps!

    Hi @hipoglucido

I have uploaded new products to my Woocommerce and it doesn’t show them on Instagram. I see on the product page that the error is because the item descriptions are in capital letters. This is not true, but I have no way to change it or fix it.

Have you added your Instagram account to your Business Manager?

The error is “The product description is in all caps. Please change the description to lowercase to allow synchronisation of your product”.

May I know which product that triggered that error?

Please share the link to the product on your website.

    Look forward to your reply.

    Hi @halloy

About the snippet : added by Code Snippets or directly in functions.php, what is the difference ? How is it launched ?

When you added directly to your theme functions.php file, as far as I understand it’s not saved to your database so it doesn’t add an extra data to your database.

When it’s added to the Code Snippets plugin, you can easily turn it of and on without having to remove or modify the code in the functions.php file where you have to open it on file manager first etc.

It’s executed when the theme loaded or as per the setting on the Code Snippets plugin.

Because it didn’t work. So I finally deleted all the catalog because I was afraid to be blacklisted by FB. This happened, I had not made the link with your plugin. Despite the selection of categories not to synchronize, it had sent everything to FB. Unable to remove products, and finally FB blocked my account !

I am sorry that you had that experience and it didn’t work.

My understanding, it should not cause you to get banned or blocked by Facebook. Is your Facebook account or Commerce account banned?

What is the purpose of setting the selection of categories to exclude ? If the plugin send all products directly after its installation, this setting is useless

I haven’t tested this if that’s the case. I think the workaround is that, before installing Facebook for WooCommerce, you can set all products that are not to be synced to your Facebook catalog, to be in private mode.

The exclusion setting is useful for the next product synchronization after the plugin is installed.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi @lykkelig

When I try to set it up again fresh everything is going well until the last step of the connection workflow where i click finish on facebook: Something went wrong when connecting to facebook! Please try again.

That’s something common when you do re-installation, since there is some old data left over somewhere.

I’ve tried the reset tool provided in other similar topics, I’ve removed the ID on wp-options.php, deleted the plugin and installed a new one. I’ve also tried different combinations of options for ads, shop on facebook and instagram shopping during setup. Nothing seems to do the trick. Any other suggestions?

I see that you didn’t mention that you remove the plugin data directly on the database, so I’d suggest that. Here’s the detail:

    Hi @joannaritsoni

so this is https://woocommerce.com/products/facebook/ is to link an Instagram Business Account to the Facebook account and then sync the products to the Facebook catalog and checkout only from facebook but not instagram??

What I understood is that you’re asking why the plugin doesn’t offer checkout on Instagram?

Unfortunately our plugin Facebook for WooCommerce currently doesn’t offer the feature of checkout on Instagram.

I understand that you need this feature. You can submit this as feature request here.

if i want the to checkout form instagram also the only way to do it is through the paid plugin ? https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-instagram/

This plugin offers you to upload a product catalog to Instagram. Products can be tagged on Instagram account, but when the product on Instagram is clicked, it will take to your store (it doesn’t offer checkout right on Instagram).

    I hope that helps!

    Hi @sillyfishlearning

Thanks for sharing your system status report.

Yes I could see that you’re using Siteground optimizer plugin for caching.

My site has been running slow and I realised it isn’t caching. I turned off all plugins and reactivated them one by one and I learned that the website stops caching only when WooCommerce Payments is activated.

First of all, I would disagree with you that WooCommerce Payments could slow down your website and interrupt with the site caching.

As far as I am aware, WooCommerce Payments is only loading on the checkout page so it should really affect your site overall performance.

I use SG Optimizer to manage caching and have contacted SiteGround who requested that I ask WooCommerce Payments if they can investigate what exactly is blocking this function so that it can be resolved by either you or them.

“Blocking this function“.. Could you please clarify what is this function?

Is it possible I have something configured wrong?

Only if I know what “this function” I could perhaps tell.

I would really like to continue using both of these plugins so any help would be greatly appreciated.

My suggestion, you want to make sure that the use caching follows our recommendation here: https://woocommerce.com/document/configuring-caching-plugins/

Where you need to configure the caching plugin to not cache WooCommerce pages such as Cart and Checkout pages to avoid issues like customer data being cached and used by a different customer that are visiting your website.

Here’s an example of caching on checkout arising some problem.

    Look forward to your reply.

    Hi there,

Everything’s fine with the credit card option, but multibanco is not working correctly, because the orders are not being updated after the clients make their payments with the generated reference.

    That’s really strange.

    My follow up questions are:

    1) – Your costumers did complete the checkout and fill out the form as per the flow described here?

    2) – Could you please share the screenshot of an affected order using Multibanco payment method? I’d like to see the notes one the right side of the order detail. I recommend https://snipboard.io for sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in your reply.

    3) – Did Multibanco work before, and this problem only started recently?

    4) – Were those affected orders actually successful, where you got the money in your Stripe account?

Yes, I’ve inserted the given webhook on Stripe’s dashboard and copied back the webhook secret to the store.
Now all my clients that chose Multibanco are receiving an email from Stripe with a form to give their bank account information, so they can be refunded.

That’s interesting. Stripe emailed your customers about the refund, is that after your customers requesting refund or not?

I think it’s worth asking to Stripe what happened in that they send the email to your customers about the refund.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi @gomle

    Thanks for your question!

I am having some difficulties making this fully responsive though.
I’ve added a hand picked product block, and from desktop view I would like to show 5 products in a row.

When I scale down the browser window, it goes directly from 5 products to 1.

Is it possible to ask for an update on this plugin, so that the products blocks have a more detailed setting, where you could choose number of products to display in a row from desktop, tablet and mobile?

Our developers are really open to get ideas from users, so thanks for the suggestion.

Feel free to post your request for this feature on our Ideas Board website.

So is there a way to make the product block show at least two products in a row from mobile? Maybe a short CSS code or something?

Okay, so this is a customization work then.

I’m going to leave it open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.

I can also recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce.

You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, as well.
