Hi @patrickhs,
I’m sorry to see you’ve had a hard time with fraud and Braintree. I’m not aware of any specific differences regarding spam/fraud features that an enterprise account might have to a normal Braintree account, nonetheless I understand the frustration with trying to get help via support.
I’m glad you’ve got the fraud squashed though now, I’ll be sure to make sure this report is surfaced to our teams who work with PayPal to be sure we’re not missing anything we could help with to stop fraud.
Thank you.

Sorry for that, I’d inadvertently solved the ticket but just sent out a new reply to keep it open.
Hopefully you’ve received that and can reply there. 🙂

In reply to: [WooCommerce Square] Wrong payee data on SquareHi @ches88,
I think you’re right about the card token, but its picking up the wp user and not the entered buyer details.
I do think this is the intended behavior. A card source is associated with a user, if logged in, upon the first purchase.
If you are NOT logged in, a customer is created but no card saved to the customer in Square or Woo.

Image link: https://d.pr/i/LjcwFUBack to your issue, if you do use a card already associated with a user in your Square account that order is then associated with the customer in Square even though in WooCommerce it was purchased with a different user or used different billing/shipping addresses.
It seems the original details in Square stay there associated with that card no matter what happens in Woo. I think that makes sense as in most cases there are not multiple customers using the same card. I hope that helps clarify things.
Hi @regisbrisard,
Today, I’m not having this issue anymore, although nothing has changed on our website, which is very frustrating.
I activated The facebook for woocommerce logs as you suggested. Now I will contact your support team when this problem occurs again. That is very frustrating! I’m glad the issue has gone away, but understand it’s confusing as to why it might come and go. Thanks for leaving the logs enabled, if it happens again we’d be glad to dig in further and try and find the cause.
Hopefully the issue is gone for good though!
Hi @platoche56,
I’ve passed some of your findings on to our devs who work on PayPal Checkout. We’re awaiting their opinion/advice and will be back to pass this on ASAP. Thanks for your patience.
Hi @adwjoe,
I’m not aware of a clear or preferred way to update the API in use in the plugin, or what, if any issues, would arise from doing so. That sort of work exceeds what we could support here. Thought another community member could chime in in case they’ve done something similar.
Nonetheless, the code for the plugin is available via GitHub and you could open an issue there and see what our developers think about getting the API updated in the first place.
Then if you’ve not already seen maybe you can decipher how the Square API is integrated and could be updated.
Hi @jmccoy78,
Thanks for the questions regarding Braintree. This payment method would work alongside PayPal Standard, and it does support more of the features of Subscriptions itself. You can see the specific features that each payment method supports via this link.
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/subscriptions/payment-gateways/
Regarding setting up Braintree. We have docs covering that at the link below.

Thanks for the information here on how your ordering process works. From what I can see there’s not much control the plugin itself has over the 3DS requirement or not.
Our plugin as of version 4.2.0 integrates with Stripes automated 3D Secure 2 version which comes with the following info from Stripe themselves. –> https://stripe.com/guides/strong-customer-authentication
There’s a list of exemptions and details there, and there is a section on merchant initiated payments and MOTO payments. It just looks like if you do have MOTO payments enabled on your Stripe account there needs to be custom development work done to then also have the Stripe extension know when a MOTO payment is being made vs a normal order.
Does that make sense?

In reply to: [WooPayments: Integrated WooCommerce Payments] WordPress.com logoutHi @doffine,
Our apologies for any confusion around the WordPress.com account connection process. Regarding a potential account mix up, could you email us with the email address of the WordPress.com account currently connected to WooCommerce Payments?
Send the email here and we can get to work to try and help disconnect WooCommerce Payments from that WordPress.com account.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway] Custom Fields in Checkout with Apple PayI’d only add to suggest this on the ideas board. -> http://ideas.woocommerce.com/forums/133476-woocommerce
I hope the more noise made for a feature like this the closer it is to reality. Also, from the level of discussion here I think you all would be comfortable submitting a pull request to the Stripe plugin repo anyway with your suggested changes?

Thanks for bringing the idea up here!

In reply to: [WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway] Payment is Made TwiceHi @amitsksingh,
Ok, that makes things a bit clearer for us. Seemingly there is an error that is supposed to be displayed there, but for some reason it’s text is not shown.
Are you currently able to reliably replicate this empty error? If you can I would recommend creating a staging site and then running a conflict test to see if you can get the error text to appear.
If your host doesn’t offer that option, we recommend WP Staging (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/) for quickly spinning up a new test site. Then, here are our steps to determine if this is a conflict.
- Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
- Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
- Repeat the action that is causing the problem
If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.`

In reply to: [Eway Payments for Woo] Customer can’t payHi @tenpastten,
I’m sure our team will get the extension fixed ASAP, but as others have said in this thread you can downgrade WooCommerce to immediately fix the issue.
From the WordPress.org plugin page, under the Advanced View menu, you can download previous versions of WooCommerce. Scroll to the bottom of the Advanced View (https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/advanced/) page and in the dropdown select your preferred previous version.

I’d also recommend always having backups of your entire site so you can quickly restore from any updates gone awry in the future.

In reply to: [Meta for WooCommerce] Sync issue and opt out product syncUnderstood and thanks for all the information helping explain your use case. I think at this point perhaps there are better options or plugins to simply integrate support for Facebook Pixel and Messenger that then don’t also sync products to Facebook.
I would also love to have your feature idea added to our ideas board as well for our developers to see and gauge interest on. –> http://ideas.woocommerce.com/forums/133476-woocommerce
Hi @snirchum,
So glad to hear that helped clear things up. I will mark this thread solved for now. Reach out again if we can help with anything further.
