This is I think, the third or fourth server I used… I was on a Quad Core Intel with 8 gigs of memory and moved to a VPS with 4 cores (XEON) and 4 gigs of memory and there is no difference at all…

you’ve probably have fallen victim to the all new and improved Google News… that is, they are keeping trash sites like examiner.com and many more, and booting all the new start-up sites… just not profitable for Google News…

I switched to the php option… I do not really understand the purpose of using php. Does that mean php will be used to dish-out a static page from cache? The web page tests I have been runing from a third party site indicate to me that static caching is not functioning although, I can see the static pages being created…
Again, I would agree… I have had Google News Bot parked on my site for hours, and not pick-up a single article… the webmasters tools show the big red X as well with a notation to something being “broken” in the sitemap… and I haven’t a clue…
I agree… Google News has a real bug up their butts these days and get ticked off when say, your site directory page, or member page gets updated and winds up in the GN sitemap and submitted to Google News… there has to be a way to EXCLUDE all PAGES and only include posts…
Also, I noticed the “NON NEW ITEM” feature does not work either, even with selected, the “post” will wind-up in Google News sitemap causing the GN NEws team to whine and complain…
Any suggestions on how to exclude “PAGES” would be a great help… thank you…

As far as, the Google Link… I am toying with static compression etc, have WP Super Cache installed and still, test from external sites still comeback that I am not delivering a static compressed page…
I am on a Windows Server 2008 R2 with both static and dynamic compression activated… as well as, am utilizing the cache feature of the server… but still, when I view a page, refresh the page the time stamp changes on each refresh… that is the time stamp presented by WP Super Cache…
I even installed the plugin cache, I can see the cache working but still, I see no place in the .htaccess or web-config file were any instruction sets have been added to give the site a clue that the plugins are compressed, and static in a separate folder…

What is your OS… have you contacted support and told them you have an error with MyPHPAdmin?
If you have access via remote desktop of some form, you will be able to access all the files within your VPS… when you ftp to the site, what directories do you see?
At this stage of the game, your best bet is to contact technical support and tell them what you are trying to do…
Contact EHOSTING and let them know there is an error in your MyPHPAdmin build it sounds like a permissions error…

If you are trying to do the backup, and your site is running, then you simply have not selected the database to be backed up… the back-up will be downloaded to your local pc…

Your only other avenue is to call the Host and ask them to move the flder called “DATA” under MySQL to your personal FTP folder where you would have access… otherwise, they will have to do the “dump” from MySQL for you… and then reload…
