Which is why the post was filed under “Requests and Feedback” as, I was hoping to locate someone that knows enough about both WP and MySQL to develope a database that would handle uploads directly into a separate database/table that would be or could be commonly shared amongst several blogs…

thanks… that fixed my Yahoo problem

Oh thanks!!! it is a great plugin and I have it running on four sites…

@texasbiz – I am having the same issue. At first I thought Maxmind was simply overwhelmed with requests so, I tried the same thing you did and attempted to download the file manually from my server which has a 1gig Ethernet connection… after 15+ minutes I downloaded the entire file BUT, it is not in a format that can be simply imported into MySQL so, that was a waste a time as well…

Please let me know if you ever get this to update successfully, or if there is a way to manually update the database, that will work as well…

To anyone interested… brightcove has the complete api docs and a basic plugin to embed videos usng there players… I can not publish moviefone trailers within a post…

Anyone interested shoot me an email.. I am still working on the code to pull in thumbnails etc…

I still need to figure out how to register the plugin so that it can be called in using the “Custom fields” which would be the preferred method as far as I am concerned…

    uh-huh…

I suppose answering the question regarding the Codex for unregistered oEmbed is too much to ask for since, Moviefone is an unregistered provider e.g. not on the “list” (please check your own web site for accurate information regarding your reply) hence, one must add or “register” moviefone e.g. see wordpress docs @ http://codex.wordpress.org/Embeds whereas, you will be given a list of providers which are built hence, my statement or request in building the codex for MOVIEFONE NOT Youtube, Flickr, etc…

To sum it up, unless Moviefone is added, it will simply be stripped away from the post… Don’t believe me, give it a try for yourself (of course I am not running the “theme” provided with 3.1.2 however, had it “worked” in the first place, would I be in here asking for help? I think not…

::wishing there was an ignore/block feature::

Unfortunately Moviefone is an unregistered oEmbed source and it will still get stripped… Unfiltered MU works… simply paste the code in the post/page…

I was hoping someone knew codex well enough to post the code to “register” it….

    Thanks…

sorry it would appear I found a plugin to do just so…

same issue, the like or dislike appears in the comment section however, unable to select….

OH MAN — DAVE before you go through all of that, open a command prompt in Administrator mode on your pc and type

    ipconfig /flushdns

It was late last night, and I completely forgot… GoDaddy does have some DNS issues as well that will cause problems with programs that rely on both cookies and DNS functions…

TRY THIS FIRST and see if the error message goes away…

I sent you an urgent email as well….

@otto — I thought he had stated earlier that he had… Good point though…

Dave — I sent you the files via your email address

Both are in 5.1.5 format… one is from the MyPhpAdmin export, the other is via the mysqldump

Anyway, GoDaddy has “issues” and I realize all the various control panels and pop-up windows were designed to make things easier however, I have been in the biz for sometime now, and I get lost up there…

Also, GoDaddy recommended to me that which ever application I want re-installed should be deleted, wait about an hour (for some reason) and request the site be reinstalled… either way, if GoDaddy is really giving you 3.2 the files I sent you should do the trick…

    Let me know… cheers…

P.S. REMEMBER TO DOWNLOAD YOUR UPLOADS FILE FIRST OR YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR IMAGES IN THE POSTS…. YIKES!!!!

That’s great… you should be able to simply copy the files from the working installation to the old directory/domain and should be all set… I will give the db a look see…

If all went well under the new directory then, the chances the db has errors are slim… I would delete the original directory BUT download the uploads and your them first, delete the install (via that stupid GoDaddy dashboard packages installed thing) wait an hour or so AFTER they kill the original, (set-up a temporary redirect to the working site for know) and then have them do a clean install to the original domain/location… IMHO GoDddy shared hosting plans are good for one of two things, static html files and as a backup site… cheers…

For those with multiple writers on their sites that would like to keep track of or allow each writer uses their own ads, a simple modification to the themes function.php will allow the user via the profile to paste their own ad codes in without effecting or having a negative impact to the pulbished article by injecting unwanted java etc. into the article… this will place their add at the endof their article right before “comments”
