Now, my other question is this, (and I know how convoluted Godaddy’s control pannels are) how did you do the upgrade via the dashboard, or did you upload 3.2 via ftp and run it that way?
The latter will solve many issues once the database gets straightened out…
How many posts do you have? it appears to be a rather small file so I am guessing not many…
I would backup the uploads folder locally, grab the config file just in case you have to go the hard router hee and recreate your site via the wordpress import…

P.S. I cannot promise anything tonight as, it is 12:30 am here and I have some business to attend to tomorrow otherwise, I would not mind staying up a little later… I have so far, have been in good shape with the most recent WP releases whereas, in the beginning it was all nighters… not to mention I run a dedicated Windows 2008 R2 server and normally the responses in the past (until those in the wild got microsoft invloved) would get the standard reply from the forums “well, that’s why it’s not working, your using microsoft”

In reply to: Locked out of Admin during upgrade to 3.2Who is your host? Are you certain they have upgraded your MySQL to the latest? I run two servers one 5.1.5(via Zen CE) and the other 5.5.9 a stand alone on a separate port…
My concern is this, without knowing the exact revision of MySQL you are running, this could be an issue… if your host has just upgraded your MySQL to 5.0(something) I do not understand why they are still running an older server… there is a ton of depreciated code that has to be addressed…
Also, have you attempted to switch themes to the default wordpress theme? What has me confused here is, that you are still receiving the same error message concerning the version MySQL you are running…
Let me know and maybe we can work something out…
Is your ?host? using “c-panel” for your web site access?

In reply to: Locked out of Admin during upgrade to 3.2Ah… there is the issue I would have since, MySQL will only work on a MySQL “dump” file (the method to backup a MySQL database)…
I do understand correctly the your host has upgraded your MySQL to at least 5.2 correct?
In any event, if you have access to the root of your server (if not ask your host to do this for you) login to the MySQL server and dump (backup) the database from a command prompt…
Otherwise, I rarely use MyPHPAdmin do to it’s limitations and the fact that the files are not compatible for purpose of migrating unless, as stated, you are using MyPHPAdmin…
On another note, I do believe that MyPHPAdmin does have a utility to correct errors in database files… I would have to look…

Next, more importantly… did you “dump” the databse via MySQL or via MyPHPAdmin? If you worked through MyPHPAdmin there will be issues…

Also, you need to verify your are using the proper rev of php as, just about half the code has been depreciated…
If you have your originaldatabase file, 4.? and would like to zip it… I could attempt the migration for you if you haven’t the access to the tools…
And yes, Workbench is what you want and you can run it on your PC…
Question(s)… Are you using Linux, Windows? Shared Hosting, VPS, or Dedicated Server?
The reason being unless you are using VPS or Dedicated Server, problems with the rewrite module for either apache or Windows, will have to be addressed by your hosting provider…
With Windows (hosting or otherwise) the .htaccess business is somewhat misleading as, web.config is the file that needs to be updated correctly otherwise, you have to visit the IIS admin dashboard and import rules from the .htaccess file to which, you will always receive one error which is simple to correct by simply deleting the first “ReWrite Engine On” rule… as it will seem to duplicate the process when using the apache compliant url rewrite module for Microsoft IIS…

If not, it is an issue with your website template… I read somewhere (I believe an email from WPMU) that is advised to roll back to the default twenty-ten theme prior to running the upgrade…
I utilize themes from Gabfire and Mehmet does a wonderful job ensuring none of his code is depreciated…

Or, if you have access or the ability to install the program do so, and migrate your database using the tool.. it will migrate an exisiting database nicely…

In reply to: Revert Muti-site back to single siteI never did any of the above… I simply extrapolated what I need from the database, did a clean install of 3.0 converted to multisite, and reinserted the necessary via Import as, no matter what I tried, at the time, WP was still having issues with sites running on a real web server, Windows IIS 7.5 which seems to have cleared itself up with Microsoft migrating their users to WP from their former “blog”…
As it stands now, the url rewrites needed are being properly being applied to web.config along with .htaccess for a seamless install… I would like to thank Microsoft for their commitment to their customers to once again, insure their customers were/are free to provide a plethora of services via a extremely wide range of platforms… (Quite frankly, Movabltype needs to get onboard with all this as well to stay competitive as, WP has certainly taken the lead)
So, the bottom-line was; being unable to perform the suggested upgrade from MU to 3.0 as stated, a fresh install and import was accomplished… looking historically o the web, you will find there were plenty of other forums operating with users working to resolve this issue…
Thanks for the help, I simply needed to establish why on the single install, wp_ was created and files loaded to same while, the multisite seemed to “mash” the two together and continue to operate
