In reply to: [BruteProtect] Your IP has been flagged for potential security violations.I’m sorry to hear that you are getting locked out of your site. We are still investigating this issue.
The good news is we have a newly updated version of our brute force protection in the Jetpack plugin. We highly recommend installing Jetpack.
If possible, try logging into your site from an other location, ie home, office, coffee shop, and uninstalling BruteProtect.
If you can’t access your site at all via the WordPress dashboard, please use FTP to remove the bruteprotect folder from your plugin directory, or ask your hosting provider for help.
Thanks

In reply to: [BruteProtect] BruteProtect and CloudflareHello all,
There 2 types of communications our plugin uses: type 1 travels from your site -> our API server, and type 2 travels in the opposite direction from our API server -> your site.
Our brute force protection feature only uses type-1 communication, and as far as I can tell, it plays nicely with CloudFlare.
The features of My BruteProtect did use type-2 communication, which did have trouble with CloudFlare. Since the features on My BruteProtect are now disabled, i’m going to close this issue.
If you find any issues between CloudFlare and the type-1 communication that our shield feature uses, please open a new issue.
Thanks

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Disconnect SiteHello,
I can help with that. What is the URL of your site, and I’ll remove it from our records?
Just out of curiosity, on what dates are your logs indicating that BruteProtect attempted to contact your site? My logs are show that we haven’t made an attempt to contact a site since Feb. 16.
Thanks
Sorry for the inconvenience. The block should be lifted in about 1 hour after the lock-out occurs.
If you have access to the server, you can take some steps to un-lock yourself:

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Error BP100Hello Doyan,
You’ll need to edit the template that is generating your custom login form. It may be found in a plugin, or it may be found in your theme. It is difficult for me to advise you further without knowing how your site is generating the form.
I remember what it was like to be a rookie. You can hone your skills and find a lot of great development help in the forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/If it ends up being too much, you could consider deactivating the plugin. In our next major release, we have a better solution for custom login forms.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Error BP100Hello,
It is not a permanent error.
We had a bit of server downtime today, which is part of the reason you faced BP100.BP100 shows up if you are using a custom login form on your site, and your site is having trouble contacting our API.
Are you able to login now?
To prevent this from happening again, I recommend following the instructions here:
http://bruteprotect.com/faqs/error-bp100/If that is not feasible for you, unfortunately the only other solution is to deactivate the BruteProtect plugin for the time being.
We are working on improvements for future releases.
Thanks,

In reply to: [BruteProtect] API key accidentally saved as blankNo Frank, not your fault. There is likely a bug and I’m trying to get to the bottom of it.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] API not generatedSorry for the inconvenience Richard.
I’m not able to replicate this on any of my sites. My best guess at this point, is that your site is having trouble contacting our API.
Can you try sending me a debug report. Click ‘BruteProtect Debug’ at the bottom of the settings page, then click the ‘Send Report’ button.
I’ll look for it.
