    Excuse-me, I don’t think I got it right actually. I realised the thing with the right-click didn’t work properly, I’m on Mac on Safari and Safari apparently has its own Firebug-like thing. So as I right-clicked the element, it opened it in Safari’s “Firebug”.

    What I’m unsure is what to look out for. I know that it’s <a>, but is that all? It’s all it seems to show me, or I don’t know how to use it. I know that if I change this tag, it will work, but it won’t leave the other links of the site unaffected, sadly.

    Yeah I see it now! There’s a ton of stuff, a million words… I could paste it all in here, but it will probably be useless?

    I just downloaded it, but I’m unsure, what exactly do I have to inspect? I can inspect the links of my menu, it will just show me the code that I typed myself.

    Should I inspect other links perhaps? Because I tried to do so, but nothing moves when I’m on the CSS tab.

    Okay, forget the post above.

    Basically, everything (more or less I think) works as long as it isn’t in the <a> tag. The problem are links therefore.

    What exactly can I do here, without affecting all the other, normal links? Anyone know?
    I have already set a .class, but it doesn’t change anything at all. Really frustrating 🙁

    Well, maybe this will help, this is my CSS for the links. As you can see, there’s 4 different styles for the links:

    .link-style-1 {
        text-decoration: none;
        color: #5894A6;
        font-size: 22px;
        }

    .link-style-1:hover {
        text-decoration: none;
        color: #505050;
        }

    .link-style-2 {
        text-decoration: none;
        color: #505050;
        font-size: 15px;
        }

    .link-style-2:hover {
        text-decoration: none;
        color: #5894A6;
        }

    .link-style-3 {
        text-decoration: none;
        color: #505050;
        font-size: 17px;
        }

    .link-style-3:hover {
        text-decoration: none;
        color: #5894A6;
        }

    .link-style-4 {
        text-decoration: none;
        color: #5894A6;
        font-size: 15px;
        }

    .link-style-4:hover {
        text-decoration: none;
        color: #505050;
        }

    Are “colour”, “text-decoration”, “:hover”, “font-size” perhaps not enough to overwrite the default settings?

    Awesome, it worked! Thanks very much. Indeed, it’s only in bold if it’s selected. Since I only want to have one page in the menu, I preferred to have it not in bold. Solved! 🙂

    It’s localhost! Also, I forgot to mention, it’s the 2012 theme. All of them have this horizontal menu bar, which starts with the “Home” link. The link is in between two horizontal lines, I’m sure you know which one I mean 🙂

    I can’t know what it says now, I can’t access the admin panel. But I guess it says what I typed in there. I checked in phpmyadmin and the link looked fine!

    I’m trying to change it back to what it was because that’s what seemed to work.

    Which settings? The settings were all normal! Except the one I changed in “General”, which was the URL setting. It was showing some weird signs because my URL had a “ü” and a “ß”, I changed them by replacing the weird signs.

    I also have my own theme, which is a child theme, but it only has minor differences to the original (2012).

    Well, something came to my mind, which was that I renamed the “Home” button to something else (on the main page). Does that change something?

    I tried replacing some of the stuff by what I originally replaced the “Home” button, but it didn’t change anything.

    I added the lines that are written in the Changing-The-Site-URL article! I’ve done everything step by step the way it should be.

    Something else I forgot to mention: my site has a special character in it’s “domain” (I put domain between brackets because it’s running in localhost, so basically it’s only the name of the folder).

    I’ve tried all methods already.

    (@revs)

    No I can’t! I’ve tried the database one too before. The wrong URL keeps staying there and it would redirect me to the wrong URL.

    It case it’s of any importance… I accidentally changed both URLs in the “General” tab.

    Biggest mistake ever!

    Just because there is a solution, it doesn’t mean the problem is resolved…

    I’m still waiting to see if manishkumarruhil knows more, so far he helped me a lot, but if anyone else has an idea, feel free to post it, everyone’s help is welcomed of course… 🙂

    Thread Starter Foliferous

    (@revs)

    Yes, it is, and the solution was already posted on the previous page 😉 But for some reason my WordPress won’t accept this CSS. Don’t know why. Even with normal classes, very weird…

    (@revs)

    There is no syntax error. The only CSS I have is what was posted above already.

    What alchymyth posted wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, manishkumarruhil had already posted this solution before — it will change the gap between words, but it won’t make a dynamic / variable menu. Which means when I add menus it won’t squeeze it all together, instead the links will be dropped on a line below and I will have to change the size of the gap again to make it fit perfectly. However, I still do appreciate it a lot 🙂
