In reply to: Need help with comment parameters on WordPress siteIt might be a plugin conflict as I can see the email field but not the name field. When I tried to leave a comment it showed error and said I must enter my name. Try disabling all plugins and test.

In reply to: Subscribers not able to see their dashboardDo you have any plugins that control the dashboard because there is no native setting for that. In order to hide it a code snippet must be used which a plugin might do for you or its in the themes function file.

In reply to: Posts page doesn't work…or doesn't existSet it back to and try it! When you save the permalinks option it writes the proper code to the htaccess file. When you use defaults it doesn’t need or use the htaccess file. Sometimes it gets messed up and needs rewriting so I could have asked you to simply re-save the settings you had. If it works still please mark this resolved.

In reply to: Posts Disappearing from Dashboard and DatabaseThat’s up to you I’m not a big fan of caching plugins. I’d really suspect something at the hosting level as the database just doesn’t change back and forth by itself.
I use this plugin to take daily backups of my database.

I also use it to take a quick backup if I’m trying something out and might want to restore the DB afterwards.

In reply to: Comments TabOh sorry I think of those as menu items, Tabs are on the top of some settings pages. When you look in there are there any comments under the sub headings at the top. (Pending – Trash)
