I just pushed out an update. Try uninstalling whatever version you have now, and then install the latest. If that doesn’t work, let me know.

I never experienced any of these issues in testing, but I have a theory. I may have inadvertently fixed this. Updated to 3.1.2 and let me know if the problem persists.
Well, if they won’t allow you to redirect to a HTTPS URL, you may be able to modify your .htaccess to always redirect users to the HTTP version of your site. I’m not sure if you’ll still get an HTTPS error or not, but it’s worth a shot. Also, my plugin has a ‘Force SSL Exclusively’ option which may work as well.
It should. Just a note, some users may need to reset the plugin’s settings in order for the fix to take effect. It’s completely circumstantial how this bug could have affected users’ sites.

I keep the plugin in Git, you don’t need to post all of that.
Just in case the post title is right, the problem with login/out URL’s being changed to plain text has been fixed in 3.1.2.
