It’s a little “sticky” when one first hovers over the buttons – sometimes they disappear rather than going blue. Maybe that’s just me, though.

In reply to: Criticise my BlogGood point, vkaryl, thanks. I’ve put Times New Roman as the back-up, on the basis that it was the second choice of my colleagues and editors. Is Book Antiqua only an Office 2003 font, or is it Office XP as well?
Any other criticisms would be welcome. Otherwise, thanks ever so much for all the help. The WP community is truly one of the best on the web.

I have tried Georgia, and my colleagues didn’t approve (I think lawyers find it slightly too informal – it’s a bit too “loopy”). Book Antiqua would seem to be somewhere between Georgia and TNR…?
I do have teaser items for my RSS feed, and I will revisit the idea of using the more tag on the front page. I just don’t know whether my readership will like it, or even understand it. Maybe I should commission an impact report…
I’m not sure I quite understand the alignment suggestion – do you mean right-aligning the menu, and left-aligning the main post content?

I still wasn’t convinced by Times New Roman, however, so I’ve changed the font to Book Antiqua. What do we think about it compared to TNR?

In reply to: Looking for a free Windows WYSIWYG text editorPerhaps you have misunderstood me; people want Word=type functions within WordPress at the press of a button, and rightly so. I’m not sure how or why Frontpage is relevant to the discussion at all.
Of course CSS is the styling bedrock of anyone’s WP installation, which is why WLW is liked by a lot of bloggers; it downloads your stylesheet, and uses your CSS. Where’s the conflict with WP? That’s precisely how WP works.

I personally use Windows Live Writer for the longer, more convoluted posts. There are an increasing number of plugins for it which increase one’s productivity. It’s an excellent product. Which OS are you on, if not XP?
@whooami: not everyone has the time, knowledge or inclination to hand-code their content. People want Word-type functions at the press of a button, and rightly so.
This isn’t the place for a soliloquy on the purity of WordPress blogging – if you would rather, as Handysolo put it, “type angles”, that’s up to you, but it is foolish to assume that WordPress is not a suitable product for those who would simply rather know that what they see is what they get.

He can COPY, DISTRIBUTE AND DISPLAY your themes. The only limitations are that
1) He must keep the attribution in tact, which he has done.
2) He must also release it under the same CC License, and there is no evidence that he hasn’t.So, legally, you don’t appear to have a leg to stand on. You may well have chosen the wrong CC License for your needs. It is, nevertheless, less than courteous to not discuss it with you first.

They take your RSS feed, and email it to everyone. It’s excellent, and could easily deal with 3000+ subscribers.
