Hi @matfiej,
thanks for reporting! We have been able to track the issue down and fix it. We will release an update (4.0.2) later today with the fix.
Thanks again!
Hi @naijacenter,
I’m closing this ticket because the issues you pointed out have nothing to do with our plugin.
It is important to note that a deactivated plugin CANNOT affect in any way your site, nor how it is displayed nor how it works. So you cannot blame our plugin of issues you are having in your site either it is active or not.
Please, before blaming our, or any other, plugin of causing issues on your site, make sure it is indeed the one causing conflict. To do so, you have to carry out a complete plugin conflict check. Here you have a support guide on how to do that step by step.
That being said, and as long you provided admin access, I’ve made some checks and I’d say it is WP Rocket the one causing issues. NOT with our plugin, but with your site. It is a plugin I know works well, so don’t blame the plugin, but a poor configuration you might have set. Being a Premium plugin I’m sure they will offer support on how to properly configure it. Also they have extensive documentation on how to do that right you should check.
Just fill out the form you will see on this link: https://www.molongui.com/support/#open-ticket
Yes, we have visited your site and I can see the plugin is not active. Still, I wouldn’t say it is displayed OK… Homepage has some weird parallax effect making some news blog overlapping others. Also, some categories tags seem to be out of place on post images. I’d say that is not what you wanted, but can’t tell, just saying.
I don’t recall having heard of that theme before. Weird no other user have reach us out. I’ve taken a look and support forum is only visible for clients. That’s a pitty, I’d have liked to check which those conflicts are so we could fix them.
Anyway, please open the ticket by submitting the form and let’s take a look.
Hi @naijacenter,
thanks for writing in! We really appreciate you liking the plugin and contacting us in order to get it working. So, yes, we are gonna look into everything you pointed out so you can use the plugin.
Let me address some of the points you have mentioned:
1) About the users page loading slow. That is something we have already fixed in the upcoming update of the plugin (version 4.0.0). It will be launched soon (in 2 weeks tops).
2) No other user has reported the site being slow because of our plugin. Anyway, upcoming version 4.0.0 also includes some improvements related to page load. Nonetheless, we would appreciate if you could open a ticket with us. Maybe there is some particular conflict in your site we cannot be aware of. And we would like to take a look at it to fix it.
3) We would also like to look into the author box being displayed over other stuff in your site. Nonetheless, please, try changing the value of the “Order” setting (Molongui > Authorship Settings > Author Box > Order) to a higher value. That might help.
4) The plugin cannot override/remove any other author box displayed by your theme or any other plugin by itself. It could do so with a few well-known themes, but that would not be good-practice. Best thing to do is to deactivate that other author box. Some themes provide a setting for that. But many others doesn’t… don’t worry, Molongui to the rescue! Just follow the steps explained in this support article to hide that other author box.
Please, open the support ticket so we can be of better help. Thanks!

Hi @ach1992,
RTL issues have been fixed on version 4.0.0, which will be released in a month or so.
Thanks again for reporting!
The Molongui TeamHi there,
could you please open a support ticket here providing your System Status Report so we can get a better idea of how you have the plugin configured?
Thanks!
Hi @ajavier900710,
we managed to reproduce the issue. It appeared when using a version of Yoast SEO lower than 7.1. We have released an update (3.2.27) with a fix.
Thanks for reporting!
Hi @xxxlesy,
thanks for reporting the issue. Indeed it was a bug introduced in version 3.2.26 when making the plugin compatible with WPML. We have released an update (3.2.27) with the fix.

Molongui Support TeamHi Ben,
another user reported an issue regarding WP user bio’s translation not being displayed. It’s been fixed on version 3.2.26.
May be this was the issue you referred to. Nothing to do with guest authors, but registered WP users. Anyhow, it should be working fine now.
Thanks,
Molongui Support TeamHi Andrés,
thanks for reporting. Could you please let us know which version of WP, Molongui Authorship and Yoast SEO do you have installed? We will try to reproduce the issue on our end. Does the error gets displayed on any particular page? Both on front and backend?
We have figured out what the issues were. Let’s explain as it might be helpful for others:
1) Social media links not displaying
Under the “Social Icons” menu item that can be found in the WP Customizer (Molongui > Authorship Settings > Author Box > Styling > Open Customizer), there is a setting labeled “Display” that can be used to enable/disable social icons showing. So if you want to display social icons, make sure that setting is “Enabled”.
Another thing to consider is that no social icons will be displayed if that user has no social profiles configured. That means that you need to let our plugin know the URL the social icon will link to.
And, make no mistake, those URLs must be provided using the new fields you will find under the “Molongui Authorship” section within each edit-user page. Other plugins, like Yoast SEO, might add their own social media fields, but our plugin is not aware of those and they will be ignored.
2) Author avatar not being displayed either
An “Avatar” menu item can be found in the WP Customizer (Molongui > Authorship Settings > Author Box > Styling > Open Customizer). If you click on it, a menu will be displayed and you will see a setting labeled “Display”. It can be used to enable/disable avatar showing. So if you want to display avatars, make sure that setting is “Enabled”.
There, there is another setting that allows you to choose what the plugin should do in case you don’t upload a custom image for the user’s profile avatar. If you choose the “do not display anything” setting, nothing will be displayed, even if you have configured the plugin to display avatars. As this setting might lead to confusion, we will try to reformulate how it works in a future version of the plugin (4.0.0).
Could you please open a support ticket with us here so we can be of better help? Once fixed, we will post an explanation here on how to fix it for those who face themselves with this issue.
Thanks!
