Hi @sylvsteph,
Yes, it is compatible with WP 5.7. We haven’t updated the readme file yet, but I can confirm it is fully compatible.
Glad you like the plugin 🙂
Hi @kazimierz87,
Wonderful! My pleasure to help 🙂
Hi @kojimo,
That’s something other users have asked too. Thing is: AMP pages don’t load stylesheets nor scripts files. So you wouldn’t get the same author box on AMP pages than you do on the regular version of those pages.
We will eventually add author boxes to AMP pages, but I’m afraid they will be plain author boxes with just some custom styling (gotten from the plugin configuration you set).
Thanks for using our plugin!
Hi @kazimierz87,
Sounds like a cache issue. Usually, logged in users get fresh/live content. While logged out users get cached content. Do you have any caching plugin? Maybe your host is providing some? If you do, please clear all your caches and check if logged out users get the same content you do.
Please let me know if this was of any help.
Yes, it is, as of now.
We have been looking into this and you have actually spotted a bug. We thought it was fixed in 4.2.7 but it wasn’t. At least not completely. We have addressed it again and it will be completely fixed in the next update. Sorry about the inconvenience.
And thanks for reporting this issue, @pablorochela!
I’m closing this ticket now, but feel free to re-open it if anything.
Stay safe
Hi @pablorochela,
Which version of the plugin are you running? That should have been fixed with release 4.2.7.
Hi @hollyrusak,
Our pleasure! If anything, we’re here to help.
Hi @hollyrusak,
Yes, Pro version is able to work with custom user roles. It allows you to select which user roles to get listed in the dropdown. If you use the User Role Editor plugin, you can check yourself this working here. Just set up a demo and go to the plugins page to activate the User Role Editor plugin.
If anything, just let us know and we will be happy to help.
Hi @hollyrusak,
1) Could you please go to Molongui > Authorship Settings > Tools and click on the Backup button under the “Plugin Settings” panel. Please share the downloaded file with us by email (you can reply the email we’ve send you earlier and attach it to it).
2) Are all those unlisted authors WP users? And do they have a user role different than “administrator”, “editor”, “author” or “contributor”?
Please let us know so we can be of better help.
Hi @bekaajohnson,
We have set up a site with both plugins and we are not experiencing the issue you describe either. Maybe you have some configuration we are missing. Anyway, do you have the chance to set up a staging site cloning yours? That would allow you to disable all the plugins but ours and test. If you don’t, maybe you could disable all the plugins but Molongui Authorship and User Role Editor and test whether the issue persists. That would help us finding the cause of the issue.
Hi @bekaajohnson,
We have tried to reproduce the issue by bulk editing the category of three posts at a time and post authorship wasn’t changed. Which number version of the plugin are you running? Is it the last one? If it is not, please update.
Hi @dilinger,
Great! Then, we will include the fix in the next plugin update. I’m closing this ticket now, but feel free to reopen it if anything.
And thanks so much for reporting the issue and helping us out to test the fix!
Hi @annabwashere,
As we haven’t gotten any feedback from you, we are closing this ticket. But feel free to reopen it if anything.
Hi @dilinger,
We have been able to fix the issue. However, we would like you to test it so we can be sure it addresses the issue you reported. Do you feel comfortable editing PHP files?
If you do, please open a support ticket with us here and we will provide the code and instructions to deploy it.
Thanks!
Hi @dilinger,
Thanks for writing in and reporting this issue!
We have been trying to reproduce the issue you reported following your indications (registered user commenting on a guest post) and we think it is related with the latest version of BuddyPress:
1) Without BuddyPress active, everything looks fine (name, url and avatar)
2) With an old version of BuddyPress we had installed, everything looked fine.
3) With BuddyPress 7.1.0, we experience the issue you described.Just wanted to let you know we are working on this. Hopefully we will find a fix soon. Once we do, we will let you know.
