Hi @masudcu,
Sorry for such a late reply! We have been looking into the issue you reported and we have applied a fix to make both plugins compatible. Now each author displays the correct name and bio and links to their author archive page correctly. The issue will be included in the next update.
@robinberghuys, what you report is related but for other plugins. We will try to find a fix for those other two plugins too.
Thanks for reporting guys. Much appreciated!
Hi @robinberghuys,
Sorry for such a late reply from us! I see what you mean. The link you share is for an author page. Checking this post I can see nor pictures neither author names in the lists get overwritten. Could you tell/test whether the same issue happens on guest posts (that is a regular post whose assigned author is a guest author)?
Hi @kirtiraj,
Sorry about the late reply. I guess you are working with guest authors and/or multi-authors, right? So your “news” posts have either a guest author or multiple authors and you need to expose them to that other plugin. Is that so?
We are not familiar with that plugin, but I’d say you can use WP REST API to expose that information. Do you think that would be helpful for you? WP REST API exposes post and user data. And you can configure our plugin to expose both, guest authors data and also all the authors assigned to a post. Be aware though that setting is available in the Pro version of the plugin.
Please let us know whether I understood your need.
Closing this ticket now as it’s been resolved via Molongui support ticketing.
Hi @tripledm,
Sorry about the late reply. And thanks for bringing that to our attention! It is indeed something we will add to the plugin in a future update. Can’t provide any ETA nor tell how it will end up being implemented, but somehow we will.
Thanks again for your valuable suggestion!!
Hi @josebandos,
Please check out this support article on compatibility with cloud templates from TagDiv. There are some known compatibility issues that have a workaround. But I’m afraid others just haven’t.
I’m closing this ticket now. But if you have any additional question, please feel free to post a new reply to this thread or open a new one.
Best,
The Molongui TeamPlease update the Pro plugin to latest (now 1.3.4). If you are running Pro 1.2.0 or earlier, you need to update the plugin manually (just this single time). And once updated, please remember to clear your cache, if any installed.
Being Pro user, you should have received an email from us about how to update. If you didn’t or if you face any issue updating, please open a support ticket with us using the form either on Molongui > Support (in your WordPress Dashboard) or here. We will be happy to assist and get everything back to normal the soonest.
Remember that Pro-related issues shouldn’t be reported here, as WP requests. Moreover, we don’t get any notification when a ticket is opened in this forum, so we cannot be as responsive as when you open a ticket from the plugin itself or from our site’s support page.

Molongui Authorship adds the
og:imagetag on author pages. It shouldn’t add nor change that tag on any other page.Need to look into this, but, just thinking out loud, might it be that the code responsible to add that tag on that page is just taking the url of the first image on the post? I’ve seen that before. What happens if you configure our plugin to place the author box below post content (this way, post image would be displayed first in the page)? Does the tag still have the author picture value? If it doesn’t, then it is not on us.
We have just released an update (4.4.2) that fixes the post byline bug.
Thanks so much to @deannazandt for helping us out on getting this fixed!
Hi @dilinger and @deannazandt,
Thanks for reporting this issue. We are looking into it to get it fixed as soon as possible.
Hi @jammyzhan2010,
We haven’t heard back from you. Hopefully the workaround we proposed worked for you. I’m closing this ticket now, but if you still experience any issue, please feel free to re-open it again and we will be happy to assist you.
