Hi @localjack,
We’re sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced during setup, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. After checking our support system, we weren’t able to find any support requests under your account. We’d love the opportunity to look into the issue more closely and help get things working as expected.
In most cases like this, the root cause is a misconfigured or invalid YouTube API key, which prevents the plugin from retrieving playlist or video data. To better assist you, we recommend opening a support request and sharing your System Info (from the plugin settings) along with the specific Playlist URL you’re trying to display. That’ll help us reproduce the issue and provide a quick and accurate solution. We’re committed to helping users get the most out of the plugin, and we’d really like the chance to turn your experience around.
Thanks again for your feedback.

In reply to: [Custom Twitter Feeds - A Tweets Widget or X Feed Widget] Decent WorkHi @jmason84,
We really appreciate the thoughtful feedback and are glad to hear you’re finding value in the plugin’s structure and performance. It means a lot to us, especially coming from someone who’s worked on similar development projects and understands the time and effort that go into building solid tools.
While we totally understand your 5-star threshold, we’re grateful for the strong 4-star rating and your kind words. If you ever have any suggestions or ideas for how we could move closer to that “market disruptor” level, we’re always listening.
Kind regards,

In reply to: [Feeds for TikTok (TikTok feed, video, and gallery plugin)] Crital errorHi @cbm-webdesig,
Thank you for contacting us! I’ve tested the latest version of the plugin on my end and wasn’t able to reproduce the error, so this might be a local conflict with another plugin or your theme. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve it:
- Clear all site caching.
- Disconnect and reconnect your TikTok account.
- Delete and reinstall the plugin.
If the issue continues, kindly open a support ticket using our form here: https://smashballoon.com/support/ and include a debug log with more details about the fatal error. This will help us troubleshoot the issue more effectively and find a solution faster.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, and I’ll be happy to help.
Best regards 🙂
Hola @johanarodriguez,
Saludos 🙂
Hi @das-capitolin,
Thank you for contacting us!
Unfortunately, for service area businesses, the official Place ID lookup tool from the Google Developers page doesn’t always return accurate results, as it’s primarily designed for businesses with a physical address. In your case, you can try retrieving the Place ID directly from your Google Business Profile dashboard (as an admin), or by using a local SEO tool that supports service area listings.
Based on our research, the Place ID for your business should be: ChIJr7_jgy7_bkURmePRV4L1_k0
Please let me know if you have any other questions, and I’ll be happy to help.
Best regards 🙂
Hi @flashba,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback — we’re really sorry to hear about your experience.
We want to clarify that our plugins do not collect any personal or social media data from your accounts. Any data processed through the plugin stays on your own website server. We do include some optional, anonymized usage tracking strictly to help improve our products, but nothing identifiable is ever collected.
Our free plugins come with core features designed to work out of the box, with clearly marked upgrade options for users who need more advanced functionality. If there’s something specific you found limited or if certain widget features didn’t work as expected, we’d love to learn more so we can help clarify or improve.
We didn’t see a support request come through, but our team is always happy to assist directly. Feel free to reach out anytime — we’d really like the chance to make things right.
Best regards,

In reply to: [Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed – Easy Social Feeds Plugin] Annoying BannerHi @jmslbam, thanks for the feedback on version 6.8.0! If the banner keeps reappearing, it might be related to how the free and Pro versions are activated. Could you reach out to our support team again so we can take a closer look and help you resolve it? Appreciate you flagging this!
Hi @irongenetics96,
Thank you for contacting us! You are correct, under the authorized apps and websites, you’ll see Smash Balloon Social Personal, which was used for the Basic API access. This is the connection that will lose access in December due to the Basic API deprecation.
We’ve replaced this with Smash Balloon Business-IG, which will appear after you reconnect your account to the plugin using the Business Basic option. This updated connection includes all the necessary changes to ensure the plugin continues functioning after the Basic API is deprecated.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, we here to help!
Best regards,
