This support ticket somehow fell between the cracks. We do apologize for taking this long to reply.

The most direct way to reach us is at support@mealplannerpro.com We can also add you to the update newsletters so you’re always informed. The last newsletter included the below nutrition update.

Note that if you convert from EasyRecipe or Recipe Card that any existing nutrition info is maintained in the Notes section of the recipe card.

Nutrition by ESHA Research – We’ve hire another software engineer that is working full time on just this. He’s making great progress and is about 60% finished. We expect to have this completed in 4-6 weeks.

We’re been working with ESHA Research, a world leader in nutrition for 30 years, to provide the most accurate online recipe nutrition on the planet. Other online nutrition services use 1 – 3 sources to calculate nutrition. ESHA uses 1,700 different sources to calculate theirs. ESHA wins hands down for accurate nutrition calculations.

Nutrition is very important to many of your readers. If you’re going to include this then let’s ensure that it’s going to be accurate. It’s also great that you’ll never need to manually enter nutrition info again. The system does it all automatically.

Thank you for your patience and we hope you understand that we want to do this right. It’s a very big undertaking but it’ll work amazing.

    Thanks,
    Commodore Allen

    Hi Monika,

Thanks for the clarification. It’s very helpful.

We’re still looking into things and will let you know as soon as possible. Our plugin started as an extension of the ZipList plugin which wasn’t designed to handle languages other than English. Adding other languages is on our to do list but haven’t gotten to it yet. The fist thing, of course, is figure out the Cryillic issue.

    Thanks,
    Commodore

P.S. – is everything fine on the second site or did both sites have the same issue at once? You also said everything was fine before but not now. What is different now than before? i.e. – did you just update our plugin, update or add a new plugin, change servers etc.?

This will help us better diagnose the issue. It’s typically not anything difficult to correct.

    Hi All,

We apologize for taking so long to get back to you on AMP compatibility. We’ve learned a lot about how AMP works and what it does. The fact is that no recipe plugin is truly AMP compatible. Let me explain.

AMP was created by Google to take a blog post content and make it static HTML. This static content then displays on mobile devices and is designed to load more quickly. The issue is that recipe plugins include dynamic functionality such as recipe ratings, print button, save button etc. which uses Javascript coding. Javascript cannot be converted to HTML.

Google recognizes these limitations with AMP and is in the process of creating workaround coding that may or may not work for recipe plugins. We’ve also looked at creating our own workarounds but it messes up the design CSS etc. It really doesn’t work or look good.

We’re continuing to monitor solutions that Google comes up with. In the meantime, we’ve made our plugin as AMP compatible as possible.

I didn’t want to get too technical and hope you understand the challenge. Hopefully AMP comes up with some good workarounds.

Note that our latest version 7.3 now includes recipe ratings that are Google Recipe View compliant. Also we provide three recipe markup schema…JSON-LD (Google Recipe View), schema.org (Pinterest), and hRecipe.

Thanks for your patience on all this. There’s a ton of great new features in the works.

    Cheers,
    Commodore Allen

    Hello,

Please update to plugin version 7.3. This should correct the comment error message issue.

Not to get too technical but the issue was caused by a WordPress API design flaw that affected the comments. We’ll be submitting a bug report and document the issue with WordPress so that they can correct this from their end as well.

Please let me know as soon as you update the plugin so that we can confirm that all is good.

    Thanks,
    Commodore

    Hello,

I’ve forwarded this to the dev team to look into. Only a few bloggers are having this issue and we aren’t able to replicate it from our end. It should be an easy fix and I’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready.

    Thanks for your patience!

Hey Jack. We can’t replicate the issue you’re having with submitting a comment. Also haven’t had any other reports of same issue.

Can you disable the “Ratings” from the plugin settings page (then save change) to see if this allows you to comment without issue.

I’ll forward this to the dev team to look into. It would be helpful to have temporary admin privileges to the site to better see what may be causing it. This is difficult to do when we can’t replicate the issue from our end.

    Thanks,
    Commodore
