@tjjk – I’ve updated WP to 4.2.2. but that doesn’t solved the problem. Not for me at least.

@gr8fl & all other – I have a second installation of WP on my webhost’s server that I’ve used to test changes in HTML, CSS or PHP that I’ve made. I checked it yesterday and there was no problem draging the widgets around in the dashboard. I tested it with several different themes and no problem at all.

I don’t have exactly the same plugins in both of the installations, but it has to be a plugin-issue or maybe something went totally wrong with the installation of 4.2.2. for some of us out there.

I don’t know, but hopefully someone else does and help us soon, very soon please.

@tara, sorry for the “Anyone – please help” line. I and I even think @tijk just wanted to answer the last meaning @gr8fl wrote:

“Before I pull out my hair and my sites with more trouble-shooting, I would like to know if this is happening to anyone else.”

It was not my intention to start a new thread. Sorry for that.

I have almost the same problem. I can drag the widget halfway down in the window, then it is impossible to go further.

I’m running a newspaper and now I can’t put any widgets in the right column on my frontpage and you can surely imagine such a problem.

I’m helping the local soccer team with gameinformation on the frontpage – so this is no good. No problem like this since I started 2012.

    Anyone – please help. http://www.simrishamnsbladet.se/

This is not the normal behaviour of the Arlima-team and Mr. Victor Jonsson. Usually they reply quite fast.

Hopefully they are still out there somewhere πŸ™‚

If so, please tell us what to do – it is a rather annoying problem.

Yes, I have a sidebar.php file – do you want all the code inside that file? There is also a lot of code ‘register_sidebar()’ following that.

Yes I have a lot of widgets – automatically two each for every category I create – left and right widgets – It’s a custom team that I use

If you want the code of what you’re asking for I provide you that, of course.

my “index.php” calls the get_sidebar code and functions.php have an if ( function_exists('register_sidebar') ) code inside.

I can give you all sidebar-code in the functions.php if you want to. Maybe the problem is there.

thanks for your quick reply anyway.

Once again – thank you. That helped a lot. It now works absolute perfect – hopefully for a long, long time. This is a piece of great work you guys have done.

Thank you – now it works just fine when using google chrome. And it shows up properly when I view it in IE 8, as opposed to round corners for example, that doesn’t work in IE 8. So now I’m happy πŸ™‚

a small ? = Is there a solution to that if I want the whole page width available thus side-bar moved down under article-list, but only if necessary, if it would show up any “smoking hot news” that you want to provide additional space for larger images?

    Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I’ve seen the demo and done the article list and tried to insert a picture. No luck. I can’t edit the article either using the “toggle article preview” and I can’t insert a picture using the “drag and drop” function or even use the browser. Using the browser only says “error; page can not be found”.??? I made an article named “No image and no toggle article preview”. on my front page. The first picture just show you my article-list (that it actually works) and the second show you what happens when I click on “toggle article preview”. Notice the dotted vertical line to the left of the drag and drop box. That is the only result of clicking “t a p”. The drag and drop box, who are highlighted properly, won’t let me drag a picture inside. It will only result in a disappearance of the picture. It will not show up properly. It looks like there is a problem showing pictures in general. I’ve recently changed the width of the side-bars from equal width to the one you can see at the front page. But it doesn’t work when you continue reading an article. Those two vertical lines inside the side-bar is made from a gif-picture and they will not show up in the same way as they do at the front page. Strange? But I can use
“upload image” in the admin editor though.
