If you are trying to edit the existing template that displays your link the Single URL Template feature could be used within the Email Before Download settings. If it is left blank the default template is:

The plugin does not support the shortcode template = “box”. Try taking out template = “box” and see if it works. If you look inside the Email Before Download settings you can see the shortcode that is supported by our plugin.

After trying to receive an email from your form, we received none. To make sure it is working properly normal can you remove the attachment=”yes” from the shortcode? So after removing it will look like this:
[email-download download_id=”506,534,536,855,936,858,860″ contact_form_id=”231″]
Can you also make sure the ‘Default Delivery Format’ in the plugin settings is set to ‘Send Email’? This will help us try to narrow down the issue.

There is a shortcode override to have the download attachment sent in an email. Try adding the attachment=”yes” to the end of the shortcode. For example, it should look like the following:
[email-download download_id=”506,534,536,855,936,858,860″ contact_form_id=”231″ attachment=”yes”][email-download download_id=”2392″ contact_form_id=”2391″ attachment=”yes”]

When asking for the URL we only need the URL to the website that is experiencing issues with the plugin. Since you provided the shortcode in the previous post and the URL to the website you do not need to provide anything else at the moment.

The issue that you described has nothing to do with SMTP. The download log that is being saved is stored in the database and is grabbed from the POST contact 7 form data. To further understand the issue could you please provide:
1. Shortcode and a URL showing the WordPress Download Monitor working successfully
2. Shortcode and a URL showing the Contact Form 7 working successfully
3. Shortcode and a URL showing the Email Before Download failingIt is automatically set to never. If you would like to change it, navigate to the Email Before Download options, there is a ‘Default Link Expiration Time’ dropdown menu from which you can select your desired expiration time.
