Another possible solution could be to edit your site settings in WordPress. If you navigate to Settings -> General Settings. Can you verify that WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) is correct?

That is an incorrect assumption I am sorry for the inconvenience. In order for emails to send you need another plugin, WP Mail SMTP by WPForms is a good choice. They have guides to help you configure it as well. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/

For example, this one : http://www.erickcruz.co/erickcruz.co/?ebddl=d85e5311ea. If you remove extra erickcruz.co/ downloading works fine. This might be an issue related to permalink setting. Can you share with us what kind of permalink settings you use?
