There’s no optimization using Cron tasks. Normally, it should not work 🙂 Please enable the log in the Options page of the plugin, and check if there’s something wrong.
All optimized images won’t be optimized again (they’re flagged). Hence, you can launch several times the process.

It creates a copy of the original image, as a backup, and it will optimize the original image and all other versions (thumbnails, large…)

It’s probably due to a missing extension (PHP CURL) or a firewall restriction (avoiding to reach the webservice). The best way to solve it is to enable log in your reSmush.it extension dashboard (right panel), and browse the resmushit.log file which has been created on the root of your website, after having tried to optimise some picts.Best regards,

Did you find how to manage your issue ? Another reason for the non optimization of some pictures, is due to special characters contained in the file name (like turkish chars).

If you choose to retain EXIF data, Copyright will also be preserved. If you choose to remove EXIF, also copyright informations will be deleted as Comment & Exif/IPTC/PhotoShop/ICC/XMP markers informations).
