The plugin is working for thumbnails too, all attachment and their thumbnails are by default, optimized.
You can avoid to optimize some attachment by excluding them of the optimizer if you want.Best regards,

I suggest you to enable log files (wp-admin/upload.php?page=resmushit_options) and copy/paste this file (at the root of your WP install, a resmushit.log file should have been created) and send it to : contact [at] resmush.it. We’ll be glad to help you 🙂Best regards.
