Hi Kapman,
Thanks for your interest !
This is a very nice suggestion, we’ll consider it 🙂
Anyway, you can run your current optimization in several times. If you leave your computer, and go back to the optimization page, you won’t have to process your whole picture library again, the previously processed files are already optimized.Best regards,
Charles

ReSmush.it webservice focuses only on picture filesize optimization, and doesn’t work on image size aspects. Maybe you should use a new image size set to 1920×1980 to prevent loading very big pictures on your pages ?

CharlesHi!

CharlesHi Marian,
It seems that you have a PHP Error (maybe a PHP extension is missing). You should look at your server Apache (or NGinx) Error logs. You can send un these logs if you need (contact[at]resmush[dot]it)

Hi oguido,
Keeping original (-unsmushed) files is quite important as if you change the compression ratio, it will optimize your file from the original file you’ve uploaded.
If we provide a “delete original file” option, you won’t be able to enhance image quality (eg. from factor 80 to 90).Hope it helps,
Best regards.

JPEG is lossless in any case, even in 100% quality. 92% is the default ratio specified for the compression tools behind reSmush.it to obtain the best quality/weight ratio.
Compression level provided by WordPress using GD library isn’t comparable to reSmush.it optimization as the optimizers used aren’t the same. So it won’t change the WP default ratio.
You can customize this level in your plugin to adjust quality and image weight to your needs.Best regards,
Hi guys,
Have you still the problem right now ? If so, please enable your logs in resmush.it plugin settings, and send us the file resmushit.log (located at the root of your WordPress instance) to contact[at]resmush.it.

Hi Silenx,
Thanks for your support 🙂 The plugin integrates already an “optimize on upload” setting (right panel) and is enabled by default at the 1st install.

Hi,
As WP Offload S3 Lite Plugin use upload method on WordPress, it’s working with reSmush.it. However, Offload S3 Plugin doesn’t support file updates : if you change image quality of already uploaded pictures, this won’t be applied to previous pictures.
Hope it will help 🙂
Best regards,
Charles
PS.: Don’t forget to rate our plugin if you liked it !Hi,
After reading again your message, I suggest you to use WordPress Image styles. reSmush.it Image Optimizer provides only optimization after image upload. We prefer let dedicated plugins work about file size or other image treatments.
Hence, I suggest you to use a module like Simple Image Sizes (https://fr.wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/) which let you add custom image sizes. All added images sizes are processed in reSmush.it Image Optimizer to bring you the best image optimization.
Hope it will help you 🙂
Best regards,
Charles

It has been never tested, but it should work. We’ll try to see if it’s working.
Generally, we recommend to test plugin installations in preproduction environments in order to avoid surprises 🙂Best regards,
