Hi @snecz, thanks for your patience. The Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin is designed to comply with best practices regarding user consent.

To ensure that customers are only added as subscribers when they explicitly opt-in, you should could enable the ‘double opt-in’ feature in your Mailchimp settings. This requires users to confirm their subscription by clicking a link in an email before they are added to your list, thereby confirming their consent.

If you don’t want to use double opt-in, make sure that the option to subscribe is presented as an opt-out (unchecked by default) checkbox during the WooCommerce checkout process and account creation. This ensures that only those who actively choose to subscribe will be added to your Mailchimp Audiences.

If you need further customization, you can also use hooks provided by WooCommerce and the Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin to implement additional checks or modify the subscription behavior during account creation by referring to our Wiki.

Please let us know if you need any other assistance. Thank you for using our plugin.

Hi @technicalx, thanks for reaching out. A couple of quick questions:

    • What version of the plugin are you using?
    • Do you have multiple webhooks in your Mailchimp Audience? You can find this by going to your Audience -> Manage Audience -> Settings -> Webhooks
    • What subscription plugin are you using? And what version of it?

    Thanks!

Hi @dozza, that is correct. We strongly encourage making a backup to your site and testing on a staging server before pushing to production. If you’re not comfortable making these changes you may want to engage a 3rd party developer that may be able to assist further.

Hi @comprarkefir, thanks for your comment. The best way to reach us for support is over at the GitHub plugin page: https://github.com/mailchimp/mc-woocommerce/. From there, you can receive direct responses from the development team, log new issues, download the latest version, and track existing support tickets. We’re happy to troubleshoot further as this should not be impacting what you’re describing; it sounds like something else is in play.

    Hello,

If you’re experiencing high CPU usage due to a cookie set by the Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin. You might consider disabling the cookie using our plugin’s settings. We provide detailed instructions on how to do this in our Wiki. You can find the guide to enable or disable the cookie filter here.

This should help reduce the CPU load by allowing your server cache to operate more efficiently. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. “MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress” is actually a separate plugin not affiliated with Mailchimp and is not required to activate this particular plugin. Let us know if you have any other questions, happy to help get you started.

Hi everyone, all very fair points and our apologies for any confusion around the new cosmetics. For now, please refer to our official changelog for more details: https://github.com/mailchimp/mc-woocommerce/blob/master/CHANGELOG.txt. We’ll be looking at better ways to surface this in the plugin as well.

Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with syncing new products from your WooCommerce store to Mailchimp. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

    1. Identify the Product ID: First, we need to pinpoint the specific product that isn’t syncing. In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to WooCommerce > Products. Then, hover over the product in question to see its ID in the URL displayed at the bottom of your browser (it appears as post=123 where 123 is your product ID). If you can’t locate the Product ID, would by chance this be a subscription product? If so, what subscription plugin are you using?
    2. Enable Remote Support: To allow for more in-depth troubleshooting, please enable remote support in the plugin settings. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Mailchimp. Here, you’ll find an option to enable support. Turning this on allows our support team to run diagnostics and see more details about what might be causing the sync issue.
    3. Contact Support: With remote support enabled and the product ID noted, reply to this thread.
    4. Check for Updates: It sounds like you’re up to date, but please ensure that your Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin and all other related plugins and themes are up to date. Sometimes, compatibility issues arise from outdated software.

By following these steps, we can start to diagnose the issue more effectively. If you have any more details to share or other questions, don’t hesitate to post them here.

Thank you for reaching out, and I look forward to getting your products syncing correctly soon!

    Hallo,

Hi @solutionsdev, after authenticating with Mailchimp the plugin will allow you to choose an Audience/List of your choice. Please let us know if you still have any trouble and we’ll be glad to reopen for further troubleshooting.
