In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Mailchimp checkout checkbox not showingHi @markerano,
There are several potential reasons why the Mailchimp opt-in checkbox may not be appearing on the checkout page, even after trying a default WordPress theme and deactivating Elementor. Here are some possible causes and troubleshooting steps:
- Plugin Conflicts: Other plugins may be interfering with the display of the checkbox. Try deactivating all plugins except for WooCommerce and Mailchimp for WooCommerce to see if the checkbox appears.
- Theme Compatibility: While you have tested with a default theme, ensure that there are no customizations in your child theme or any other active themes that could affect the checkout page.
- Action Hook Misconfiguration: Verify that you are using the correct action hook. The
woocommerce_review_order_before_submithook should work, but ensure that it is implemented correctly in your theme or plugin. - JavaScript Errors: Check the browser console for any JavaScript errors that may be preventing the checkbox from rendering properly.
- Caching Issues: If you are using a caching plugin or service, clear the cache to ensure that you are seeing the most recent version of your checkout page.
- Mailchimp Plugin Settings: Double-check the settings in the Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin to ensure that the opt-in checkbox is enabled.
- Custom Code: If you have added any custom code to your theme or plugin that modifies the checkout process, review it to ensure it is not inadvertently hiding the checkbox.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, consider enabling the Remote Diagnostics feature in the plugin settings to allow for further investigation by support engineers.

Hi @archatrak,
Thank you for reaching out. We haven’t received any other reports of this behavior, and our testing confirms that the integration is working as intended. It appears that the issue might be due to a unique configuration on your site rather than a bug in the plugin.
To help narrow things down, please double-check your WooCommerce billing settings and ensure that the first and last name fields are set up correctly. If you’re using any customizations or additional plugins that modify checkout fields, they might be influencing the sync with Mailchimp.
If the issue persists after reviewing these settings, please provide further details such as screenshots or any error logs. I’d be happy to investigate further.
Thanks again for your feedback and understanding!

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Embedded Opt in Box at Checkout Not Showing@rayjohnson28 for now, please enable the remote diagnostics from the setting tab so we can take a look at a few things with your set up (provide your store URL here as well). However, @kjvextras gave some good initial troubleshooting advice – have you tried those yet?
Hi @jpnl, that’s odd. It sounds like there may be a conflict with your theme or one of your plugins. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
- Disable Other Plugins: Temporarily deactivate all other plugins except for the Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin. Check if the checkbox appears checked by default on the checkout page. If it does, reactivate the plugins one by one to identify which one is causing the conflict.
- Switch to a Default Theme: Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-One) to see if the issue persists. If the checkbox works correctly with the default theme, the problem may be related to the Divi theme.
- Check for Custom Code: If you have added any custom code snippets to your theme’s
functions.phpfile or through a custom plugin, review them to ensure they are not interfering with the Mailchimp functionality. - Inspect Console for Errors: Use your browser’s developer tools (usually accessible by pressing F12) to check for any JavaScript errors in the console that may indicate conflicts with the theme or other scripts.
- Contact Theme Support: If you identify that the Divi theme is causing the issue, consider reaching out to their support team for assistance, as they may have specific solutions for compatibility with the Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the conflict affecting the checkbox setting on your checkout page.
