In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] Disable reminder emailsGreat question @elrico13. The easiest way to do this is to make sure that the reminder emails are set to send very far in advance. If an automated reminder is set to send before the date the volunteer opportunity is published, then it won’t send it. For example, if you set “Number of Days Prior to Opportunity to Send Reminder” at Volunteer Mgmt >> Settings >> Email to be 730 (two years), then the reminder won’t send unless you have a volunteer opportunity that’s more than 730 days away from the publish date.
It’s a little confusing to explain, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Hopefully that should get you where you need to go though.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] Automated emails not being sent.I’m sorry you’re running into email issues @foreveraviking. This can definitely be caused by a number of different factors, so the best approach is to start by narrowing down the cause. Would you mind installing the Email Log plugin first? Then I’d recommend testing a volunteer sign up. After the test, take a look at the email logs to see if the email was attempted.
Let us know what you find. That should be a good start.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] permalinksThanks for reaching out @johnhowardfl and I’m sorry you’re running into issues. This is not a problem we’ve come across before in regards to the volunteer management plugin. I know 403 errors are typically difficult to troubleshoot, so it may be worth following the guidelines at https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-403-forbidden-error-in-wordpress/ as a starting point. Give that a shot and let us know how it goes. Good luck.
Thanks for reaching out @ilovewordpressharish and I’m sorry you’re running into issues viewing your volunteers. To clarify, each volunteer’s name and phone number won’t show up in the network admin, but instead within each subsite’s admin on WordPress multisite. When you’re logged into a specific site, try visiting Volunteer Mgmt >> Volunteers and you should be able to see the details for each volunteer. At that point you can also click on individual volunteers to get further information.
Take a look there and let us know if that works for you.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] Confirmation Emails not being Received@jlrutland, thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry you’re having trouble with emails. This is often an incredibly difficult item to troubleshoot since there are so many possible causes.
The first and best route to take is to reach out to your hosting provider to see if the emails are being sent through the site. Your hosting provider should be able to see if an error has occurred or if emails are being blocked for some reason.
If your hosting provider can’t provide any more details let us know and we can try our best to narrow down the problem.
Since we haven’t heard from you in a little while I’m going to mark this as resolved. As always, don’t hesitate to let us know if any other questions come up.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] shortcode on page? Thanks for reaching out @holycitychildren. There isn’t a way to show a single volunteer opportunity using the shortcode, but the best approach is actually to point directly to the opportunity using a standard link. Once the volunteer opportunity is created, simply copy the URL and link to it just like you would any other page. Hopefully there’s no need for a shortcode at all.
I hope that’s helpful. Don’t hesitate to reach out if any other questions come up.
Awesome, I’m pretty sure I was using the “Visual” tab so that makes sense. Thanks for the help. I’ll go ahead and mark this resolved, but I’ll open a ticket if I can’t figure it out.
Thanks again.
Thanks for the quick response. I actually tried that and it just put
<!-- wp:paragraph -->and<!-- /wp:paragraph -->into the Classic block. Is there something I can modify to make it work?
