In reply to: Far From Neutral – the BlogIt looks good. Some of the text is a little diffeicult to read, like the red of grey on the sidebar, and the light titles, and to a lesser degree, the blue links in the post bodies, but other than that, it’s a handsome design.
Oh, one thing I just noticed is the two seperate navigation bars, why have two? Why not just remove the horizontal one and put everything on the vertical at the top? It doesn’t seem to make much sense, especially since some of the links overlap (blog, about) and some don’t.Forum: Your WordPress

Those other two sites work a little better (I think) because of the way the header image, the content, the sidebar, and the nav bar all have the same border. It’s consistent. With your site, the title is meshed with the background, and so the navbar floating up there doesn’t feel right to me. Maybe if you meshed the navbar in with the background like you did with the title, it might look good, but it might not either, I’m not good at visualizing layouts.
That’s just my opinion though, and I’ve been known to misjudge things completely.And as for the colours, it’s really only the purple that got to me.

I generally cannot stand horizontal scrolling, but because of the type of content you have, it works perfectly. In fact, I think it works better than a vertical scroll would. I love the layout and the site.
