I disabled the per-post analytics charts …
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-web-ninja-google-analytics-edit-posts-page-delay
… but I am still seeing this kind of delay on the dashboard.
Is there any way to disable or cache the analytics block on the dashboard?
Sure!
– how big is your site?
10 sites (in multisite 3.0.4).
– is it a shared or dedicated environment?
Semi-dedicated.
– what php version are you running?
5.3
– what is the version of XCloner and what changes did you make in the config from the default ones?
2.2.1 – Default.
Also, we need to know if you get pass the mysql backup process? to understand if the timeout is at the database backup step, file scanning or file archiving…
How would I determine that?
Just wanted you to know this issue was really a problem as I was configuring a new site (within 3.04 multisite).
“Post Admin Stats” doesn’t appear until you’ve entered a GA account username and password. Unfortunately, my server timed out before the handshake could be completed.
Perhaps the default can be disabled, and the “Post Admin Stats” drop-down could appear (but be inactivated until the GA account is linked) so it’s clear where it will appear.
My 2 cents.
[A follow-up. Even though I selected “Disabled” under “Post Admin Stats”, I’m still seeing the mini-charts on my edit-pages and edit-posts screens, and those are slowing load time. I’ll check further …]
[Second updates: I clicked “Remove Account Info” and then reentered my GA information. Now working great! Perhaps some errant setting was causing the problem.]

In reply to: [Anthologize] [Plugin: Anthologize] Something went wrongYes, I was on 3.0.4, and I experienced white screens. Unfortunately, I haven’t yet had a chance to set up an instance to test each plugin for conflicts.

+1 for the search-and-replace plugin.
I have been usng it for a while for similar functions, and it has worked very well.
Same symptoms for me, too. I waited an hour (since I’ve found that sometimes the buckets take a while to get updated) but still no luck.
Also, same problems with Dropbox; dialog box says backup completed (although “Remove this message” link doesn’t work), but nothing in Dropbox account.

Thought I’d let you know another situation for when the cache would be good. I just set up a new site (in 3.0.4 multisite) and imported about 1,000 posts from a WXR file. No Analytics account yet.
Ninja Analytics is network activated, so the edit.php posts list was timing out every time.
When I went to the NGA settings, I had to enter an Analytics account before I could select “Disabled” from the “Post Admin Stats” dropdown menu.
So, I network deactivated and reactivated on a site-by-site basis, and I’m fine again.
I thought I’d share in case anyone else experiences the slow load through network activation.
Otherwise, this is definitely the best GA plugin available. Works great, especially for outbound.
Thanks!

In reply to: WXR File SplitterI read the earlier suggestion about Platypus, but I’m in the target audience for *using* a generated app, not for *creating* one 😉
It may seem obvious, but all I needed was the “In a Terminal …” Now I get it.
Thank you both!

In reply to: [Use Google Libraries] [Plugin: Use Google Libraries] LatencyThank you for the fast response. I was using Safari and saw the delay even when I completely reset the browser.
Let me follow each of your suggestions and get back to you.
I have a similar issue: when the plug-in is installed, I cannot edit regular text fields, like the page title and slug, although I can still edit in the TinyMCE editor. Is there any reason why text areas might be affected?
Of all the plug-ins deebeeeff listed, Collapsing Pages and WP Super Cache are the only ones I also have loaded.
I’ll keep investigating.

In reply to: [Old Page Reminder] [Plugin: Old Page Reminder] Slows down back endThanks for the quick response!
Since I have so many plugins active, I shared this just in case there were known conflicts or an update coming.
I’ll work on that …
Just curious: Has this been resolved?
