1. About GST (CGST + SGST vs IGST)

What SureCart can do today

• SureCart includes real-time tax calculations via TaxJar at no extra cost, and lets you enable taxes, set up tax regions, and optionally show “tax included” pricing. Docs you can review:

Important limitation for India

• Automatic GST logic that switches between CGST + SGST for intra-state and IGST for inter-state is not currently built in. India is not listed among the predefined automatic tax regions, for now you will find Australia, Canada, EU, UK, US, and “Rest of the World”. What this means in practice

• You can:
  • Enable taxes for your store and set manual GST rates for India under “Rest of the World”.
  • Create product collections (e.g., apparel categories) and apply overrides if certain items need a different GST rate. https://surecart.com/docs/override-product-and-shipping-taxes/
  • Collect the buyer’s GSTIN on checkout and print it on invoices. https://surecart.com/docs/collect-tax-or-vat/ and https://surecart.com/docs/display-company-customer-tax-on-invoice/

2. Payment gateways for India

• Today, SureCart officially supports Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, and Paystack. Razorpay is not integrated yet, but … Good news – Razorpay is on our roadmap and coming soon.

Suggested next steps to get you selling now
