Hi there!
Thanks for reporting this. We’ve seen this exact behavior before, and it comes down to a mismatched connection between the SureCart product and its underlying WordPress post.
The Content Designer stores product content as a WordPress post type in your local database. When the internal post ID that links a product to its content gets out of sync, the editor throws that “item doesn’t exist” error, even though the content itself still renders fine on the frontend. That’s exactly why new products work without issues – they get a fresh, correctly linked post ID right away.
Here are a few things to try:
- First, make sure SureCart is fully updated to the latest version. We’ve shipped fixes for post ID sync issues in recent updates.
- Deactivate all other third-party plugins temporarily and switch to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Four) to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts.
- If none of the above helps, the most reliable fix we’ve seen is to recreate the affected products. Before doing that, you can copy your existing Content Designer layouts from the frontend as a reference, then set up the new products with the same content. Since the frontend still renders the content, you won’t lose visibility of what was there.
For a deeper look, we’d recommend opening a support ticket directly with us at https://surecart.com/contact-us/ – that way, we can access your site (with your permission)

Hey @hopskip
You are most welcome!
Yes, in the Instant Checkout page you can enable the Show Terms and Conditions, you can refer to this screenshot – https://app.screencast.com/zth2SeAEPmN8IThanks so much for the kind words and your patience while we sorted the default country issue. We’re glad both the docs and code are now fixed in the latest release – happy selling!
Hello @hopskip
Here’s how it works in SureCart:
- Add a custom Thank You page (basic setup)
- Create a WordPress page with your Thank You content.
- Assign it to your checkout form by going to SureCart -> Custom Forms -> open the form settings -> enable Thank You Page -> select your page.
Docs: https://surecart.com/docs/custom-thank-you-page/
- If you need a different Thank You note per ebook (2 options)
Option A: One checkout form per ebook
- Create separate checkout forms (each form sells a specific ebook).
- Assign a different Thank You page to each form.
Docs: https://surecart.com/docs/add-checkout-form/
Docs: https://surecart.com/docs/custom-thank-you-page/
Option B: If you’re using Instant Checkout links (per product)
- Go to the product -> Instant Checkout -> enable Custom thank you page -> paste the Thank You page URL you want for that product.
Docs: https://surecart.com/docs/add-thank-you-page-url/
Relevant notes
- If you are using one checkout form that lets customers buy multiple ebooks in one order, that single form has one Thank You page (so no built-in per line-item custom message without custom development).
- You can show order details and purchased items on the Thank You page using the Order Confirmation block/shortcodes:

Best,Hello!
Thanks for reaching out! If you are referring to a built‑in product review feature for SureCart products, this is not available on the product page yet. We are currently testing our product reviews functionality internally, and it will be released in an upcoming update once it passes QA
Best,
Thank you so much for your feedback; it truly means the world to us!
