In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] can’t update or deleteHi,
I get the message “”Could not fully remove the plugin jetpack/jetpack.php”
This looks like the file permission issue. We recommend contacting your hosting provider so that they can troubleshoot further.
We’re sorry to see that this fatal error happened to your site.
Regarding the Jetpack upgrade process, we sometimes see this issue with other customers. There are a number of reasons that an automatic update could fail. Jetpack is a large plugin, with many modules and language files. This can cause issues with some servers when using the automatic update.
To resolve this issue, Could you please try manually reinstalling Jetpack? To do so, download the Jetpack plugin here:
http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.latest-stable.zip
Then, log in to your site via FTP, and delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder. You should then be able to reinstall the plugin manually by following the instructions here:
I would strongly recommend that you make a complete backup of your website before trying this.

Fyi – I do not get an email about this. What is causing this problem and how can I fix it? I can’t even deactivate or delete the plugin. Help!
The issue with email deliverability is more related to your hosting and email configuration. This is not a Jetpack issue. You can have a look at a few guides below:

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Sitemap showing blank pageHello,
Looks like this is just a temporary issue. We’re able to see sitemaps in both links you mentioned above.
Screenshot: https://d.pr/i/c5nNx3
– For the normal sitemap (sitemap.xml), it’s likely that it was not created when you checked it as they are automatically updated around every 12 hours by using WP Cron. Here is our reference for this https://jetpack.com/support/sitemaps/#sitemap-update-frequency
– For the news sitemap (news-sitemap.xml), it may be this fact
News sitemaps include only posts published in the last 48 hours. You can read more here https://jetpack.com/support/sitemaps/#news-sitemapWe hope that has just clarified your concern.
Hello,
We’re happy to merge stats from your WordPress.com site to your new self-hosted site.
However, currently, these two sites belong to two different WordPress.com accounts.
Can you please reconnect Jetpack for this site https://lineamasondixon.it/ to the same owner account of your WordPress.com site?
You can follow up this guide https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reconnecting-jetpack
After that, please get back to us so that we can verify this info and start the merge process.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Problem with statsHello,
We do not have your admin account to check this issue directly. However, you can do that by viewing your site HTML source. Jetpack Stats will track visits if these JavaScript lines exist (screenshot: https://d.pr/i/keuMyx):
_stq.push([ 'view', {v:'ext',j:'1:9.2.1',blog:'177310058',post:'1798',tz:'1',srv:'www.torregrotta.net'} ]);Can you please check if these lines are there when you’re logging in as an admin on your site?
Also, your site is using the caching plugin WP-Optimize. You may want to exclude admin visits from caching too. Otherwise, your admin visits will be counted too.
Hello,
Thanks for your info.
blog_id of your site on our end has been changed from 67839597 to 187215589. Therefore, this issue happened. We’re able to tweak our settings to fix this issue.
Would you please disconnect and then reconnect Jetpack on your site? You can follow these instructions to do that https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#disconnecting-jetpack

In the future, if you work on testing/migrating your site, please use Development or Staging mode, or simply deactivate Jetpack in your testing sites. Please have a look at these documents too:

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack Connection issueThank you for updating us here. We’re marking this as resolved.
If there is any other issue with your new hosting, please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack#new-postThank you!
Thanks for more info. As we understand, Publicize is now sending posts to social networks, but its options do not display in the post editors?
Do you use any snippet to customize your site in functions.php?
This is also a conflict with another plugin/theme.You can actually use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin to do some troubleshooting here. This is a tool that can be useful for debugging, though it does require an official default theme like Twenty Seventeen to be installed as well:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/
https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/Once you’ve installed and activated the plugin, you can go to Tools → Site Health:
- Select the Troubleshooting tab and then click Enable Troubleshooting to automatically disable all plugins and add a new Troubleshooting Menu item in the toolbar at the top of the wp-admin dashboard.
- From here, you can enable and disable plugins and change the theme for your site, but without affecting normal visitors to your site.
Could you try to use the Health Check plugin to enable only Jetpack and then run that test again? If those errors clear, then we’ll know that a conflict with another plugin is causing this.
You can then enable each plugin one at a time and try to replicate the error after each attempt.
If you can’t find a plugin, it may be the theme. Would you please try to switch the theme to one of the defaults to see if that helps?
Thank you. I am going to mark this as resolved temporarily. Feel free to reply and mark this as unresolved if the issue happens again on your site.
Hello,
Currently, Jetpack connection on your site is good and you have only Jetpack as an active plugin. Do you see any specific error message when trying to connect Jetpack?
If possible, we suggest reconnecting your site again and let us know if the issue is still there https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#disconnecting-jetpack
In case, the issue is still there, we will need to ask you to submit your request to our ticket system, then look at your site directly.
Hello @gnfb,
I don’t get your recent reply. Does that mean the issue is resolved or not?
For this type of issue, you can check Jetpack connection on your site too. You can do this by visiting WP Admin > Tools > Site Health or this page too.
If Jetpack connection is not good, you may consider reconnecting Jetpack itself too. This handy guide explains the full process in more detail:

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Error and WarningHello,
We’re sorry to see that you’re getting this issue. We’re not able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Jetpack and WordPress.
Can you please do the following steps and let us know the result?
– Make sure that your site is up-to-date with WordPress 5.6, Jetpack 9.2.1, and other themes and plugins.
– Where did you see this issue? Please give us the link. Feel free to redact your site address.
– Does the issue persist if you disable all other plugins except Jetpack, and switch your theme to a default theme like Twenty Twenty? NOTE: please make a backup of your site including both files and database before doing this.
