solved thank you.
when I unchecked copy to server the backup worked, but it’s not an issue of credentials b/c before the backups were in cpanel but empty
Oh, yes. the files are in the cpanel but show 0 bytes backed up. The log is too long to copy as a screen shot, but my developer said it says copy successfully, which it also says in the plugin dashboard backup/restore

It’s in the file manager, but won’t download from dashboard
I have the same problem, but don’t find the backup in the cpanel. The error reads:
The webpage at https://temp.whatiscodependency.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?_wpnonce=ed829c0c6a&action=download_backup_by_name&name=backup_temp.whatiscodependency.com-2020-12-29_08-44-sql-87a5b.tar&storage_selection= might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
My host checked and found no server errors; only a plugin problem.

In reply to: anchor link not workingTHANK YOU. I tried with the id before but wasn’t sure how to coordinate it with the “entry-sub-title” and the color style. FYI, the h2 target was working perfectly on another WP website I have without any id. So I unsuccessfully tried to copy that here.
