In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] JS Console ErrorHi there,
This error is a result of the Stripe payment gateway not being configured on your site.
To resolve this error you’ll need to connect your Stripe account to Give. Here is a link to our documentation for setting this up:
https://givewp.com/documentation/core/payment-gateways/stripe-free/
Setting up the Stripe payment gateway should resolve this issue for you. Have a great day!
Hi there,
First, we’ll look to make sure the donations are marking as complete in the backend of Give. An email will only send when a donation marks complete.
If you’re noticing that most donations are marking as pending, then there is likely an issue with the IPN with PayPal. Here’s a link to an article that walks you through troubleshooting IPN issues and having your donations mark as complete:
https://givewp.com/documentation/core/payment-gateways/paypal-standard/troubleshooting-ipn-issues/If the donations are marking as complete, then you’ll need to troubleshoot your WordPress installation to confirm that emails are being sent. Here’s an article for this as well:

Hi there,
I’ve tested this on a site we have here, and I’m unable to replicate this issue. We also haven’t had any other reports of this happening, which leads me to believe this is unique to your site.
As you’ve already ruled out any plugins on your site being the issue here, the next step is to see if your active theme is causing this issue.
Try switching your theme to a WordPress default theme like twenty seventeen, and see if the issue resolves. If so, you’ve found the culprit.
There are times where third-party themes remove important files that are shipped with WordPress or add incompatible files which can result in issues like this. We’ve seen this before, and usually getting in touch with whoever developed the theme for you can get you back up and running.
Keep us posted on how that goes, and have a great day!
Hi there,
This is likely happening if you’re signed into your site as a user while viewing the donation form.
To rule this out, view your donation form in an incognito or similar browser window. If the admin email no longer displays, you can safely know that your site visitors won’t be presented with that email address.
If you still see the email address after being logged out, then this is likely due to caching on your site through either your hosting provider or a third-party caching plugin. Go ahead and flush the cache in all your caching solutions, and do a hard refresh on your browser.
This should clear up the issue, but if you’re still having trouble, feel free to reach out.
Hi there,
This error is related to the PayPal account that’s connected in the backend of your Give settings.
The account that you set up needs to be one of the free business accounts with PayPal. Once that’s set up you’ll place the newly created account’s email in the Give settings.
Here is the link to sign up for that account with PayPal:
https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/referral/paypal-business-accountHere is the link to our documentation for setting up Give with the free PayPal gateway:
https://givewp.com/documentation/core/payment-gateways/paypal-standard/It’s good that you’re using an incognito window to test donations as this signs you out of the backend of your site and prevents any persistent sessions.
In addition, you’ll also want to make sure Give isn’t in Test mode when processing a donation to a live account. Here is the documentation on this as well:
https://givewp.com/documentation/core/test-mode/If you have followed all the steps above and you’re still having issues, feel free to reach out again.
Hi there,
This appears related to some very outdated premium addons available for the Give plugin.
While we aren’t able to assist with Premium addons through this support forum, I recommend you reach out to us through email at https://givewp.com/support Reference this thread in your response, and we’ll be happy to continue assisting you.
Thanks!
