Sorry for delay – have been in hospital…

    setup is:

    wp-greet v 3.1
    theme (weaver II) v.1.3.2
no xtra weaver stuff – it’s the free version (both). Have SEO.

yes, in the backend- but..it affects the front end (google calendar) as well I have the google calendar plugin, and on each page, is a small calendar of events (widget) with tooltip capability showing the event description on any given event date. Those tooltips stop working as well.

Ross, you were right on – I’d put a small # for the # of events, but since I have events listed through the fall, I put 300. That did it! Thanks much!

PS Probably woulda figured that out but with all the stuff that’s been happening lately….

Again, thanks! (can you either move this to the proper thread, or move my last post re this to here, please?) Thanks!

Oh, I forgot to mention that yes, there are dates well in advance (through fall 2013), so that’s not the problem (you stated that if there were no more events beyond a given month that could cause ajax to not work)

Oh…my test site is http://www.ginasweb.com – go to home page (the small calendar upper right) and events the big calendar in middle and small on right. You’ll see (i’ve tried it in safari and chrome) no arrows on either side of the month. It’s probably going to be something simple like a typo or something, but… The site I maintain is http://www.squaredancepro.com I had to hide the events page, since the calendar was broken until I can reinstall wordpress.

Hmmmm….thought I posted this – but I’ll try again. I did what was suggested with the fix, named it as it stated (cut/paste so I didn’t make mistakes), but it does NOT show up on my list of plugins! Therefore, I cannot ‘activate’ it. Any other ideas? Somehow, it broke – ie. when one went to widgets, you couldn’t move them around and place them where you wanted…but when I reinstalled wordpress, it worked, except for the ajax (yes, I checked the box that said something about putting java code at bottom). Also, even though my counter is NOT on a widget on the right hand side, the counter only (not the accompanying info like whose online, etc.) shows up in the right hand side and I can’t figure out how to get rid of it. Ideas? I really need to get the calendar working so folks can determine ahead of time when and where square dancing will be. Any ideas would be helpful (would restoring the sql database solve the problem, or would it “restore” the problem.

Ross, I did what you recommended – downloaded your plugin ‘fix’ for the disappearing arrows (ajax), saved it as you suggested, but it doesn’t show up in my plugin list!

I’d been in the hospital the better part of December, part of January and part of February, so had been away from the computer for quite a while. When I got home and back on, I found that wordpress on both the sites was broken – I couldn’t get widgets to move around, etc., so using my site as a guinea pig (www.ginasweb.com), I reinstalled wp, and that solved THAT problem, but…I now cannot get ajax – even with your fix – to work. I have a page called events. Pardon the site, but it’s rather bare right now, ’cause I’m trying to concentrate on getting this calendar working – I maintain a site – http://www.squaredancepro.com and we need the calendar to let all the squaredancers know when/where the next dance is! Could you take a look at ginasweb.com/events and of course, the main page with the calendar in the upper right hand column – and see if you can figure out what’s wrong? You won’t need to register to get on – I think…I’ll make sure you won’t 🙂

Thanking you in advance for your help.

    Gina S.
