In reply to: [Discount Rules for WooCommerce] Pretty Much uselessHi
Thank you for the review. Really appreciate it.
The free version of the plugin can handle a number of common discount scenarios, for example:– A site wide store discount
– Percentage discount
– Bulk discount / tiered quantity based discounts – Example: Buy 3 to 7 quantities, get 10%, Buy 8 to 12 quantities, get 20%)
– Product specific discount
– Cart total based discount (Example: Spend more than $1000, get 10% discount)
– Number of line items (count) based discount (Example: Purchase 4 different products or variants and get 10% discount)And yes, the pro version offers more discount rules. But it is not necessary to buy until you are sure that your discount scenario can be achieved.
We have a demo to try out all the PRO features https://demo.flycart.org/woo-discount-rules/ (You can create a demo instance and try out all the possible rules.)
Also, if you can let us know your discount requirement / scenario, we can assist you with its possibility and configuration. If your discount scenario is possible, we can help you configure the rule with screenshots and example configuration (be it the free or pro version, we’re happy to help). Just reach out to us by opening a ticket at https://www.flycart.org/supportWe are happy to assist you with your discount scenario. Just let us know.
Thanks

In reply to: [Discount Rules for WooCommerce] Member (or Subscrition) Discount RuleHi
Thank you for reaching out. We understand the requirement.
In order to achieve this requirement, the approach should be slightly different.1. You will need to create a WooCommerce product – (you are right. Because the customer has to purchase and pay so that he can enjoy the special discount for a year)
2. Once purchased, the site needs to change the user role of that person… (Let’s say: “Members: user role) – This can be achieved through a membership plugin for WooCommerce. Reasons: a. The membership is valid for a year, meaning the site needs a way to control how long a person can be a member. b. the person should be changed to the user role after purchase – Members. Here is a list of membership plugins that might help you for the Membership management https://www.cloudways.com/blog/woocommerce-membership-plugins/3. A user role based discount – This is where the Woo Discount Rules plugin comes in. A user role based discount rule will give them the special discount on any products they buy (I guess you have already created it). This discount will apply as soon as they login (so that the site can identify the person is a member based on the user role). if you need any help with this rule creation, please feel free to reach out to us at https://www.flycart.org/support
Our plugin is a discount rule plugin. It helps you apply discount based on a number of rules and conditions.
However, in order to accept payment to become a member (for 1 year membership in your site), you will need a WooCommerce Product. And to control that membership and the user role (controlling means – changing user role, handling expiry, access control… etc), you will need a membership plugin.
Hope this helps
Thanks

In reply to: [Discount Rules for WooCommerce] product limitHi
Apologies that we somehow missed this thread.
You can use this type of discount to give discount only on the first quantity of the item:
https://docs.flycart.org/en/articles/3809899-bundle-set-discount-discount-rules-2-0if you also want to prevent the customer from purchasing the same item in the next purchase with a discount, then you can consider using the “Purchase history condition”
https://docs.flycart.org/en/articles/4223893-discount-based-on-previous-purchase-amount-2-0
But, please note that “purchase history” condition only applies at the checkout or when customer is logged (so that the history can be checked). So using the purchase history rule, you can set it like:
Apply discount only when the customer’s previous order history does not include X Item
An example condition: https://www.evernote.com/l/AjyTr-uIjB9DLZ9Di3UfJMHSma32MgK9mLcHope this answers your question.

In reply to: [Discount Rules for WooCommerce] Round Up/Down after discountHi
Thank you for reaching out. Apologies for the delay in the response due to the weekend. At the moment, we do not have an option to round up / down. I am so sorry. We apply the discount and pass back the discounted price to WooCommerce price handler, which then takes care of the rounding to 2 digits.
Would it be possible for you to try setting up discount rule using the Cart Adjustment type? May be that would work ? Here is a guide: https://docs.flycart.org/en/articles/3806593-cart-adjustment-discount-rules-2-0
Let us know
Thanks

In reply to: [Discount Rules for WooCommerce] product limitHi
Apologies for the delayed response due to the weekend.
Yes. It is possible to apply the rule just for one item (1 quantity of the item). You can consider using the Bundle/Set discount type to achieve this.
So the first quantity can get X% discount, and successive quantities will be priced full.
https://docs.flycart.org/en/articles/3809899-bundle-set-discount-discount-rules-2-0Meanwhile, can you let us know about the “category of users”? Are you referring to user roles ?
Let us know.
Thanks

In reply to: [Discount Rules for WooCommerce] Proceed with cautionHi
Our sincere apologies for the experience. We are so sorry. We are better than this. We noticed the issue while we were checking the rules for the possible cause of issue with the discount scenarios.
As we informed in the ticket, we were trying to add a small compatibility snippet via the Code Snippets plugin. It appears the snippet produced a conflict. We did not make any other changes.
We would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused. If we were provided an opportunity to troubleshoot via the FTP login, we would have helped solve the issue with the fatal error. We would like to apologize again for the inconvenience caused.
Thanks
