In reply to: [Arjuna X] Arjuna X breaks wordpress 3.5Any idea what “jquery-ui-1.8.10.custom.min.js” is actually there for?
It may fix the problem, but then may cause others… 🙂

In reply to: [Arjuna X] Arjuna X breaks wordpress 3.5I’ve just had a look at the author’s profile page (http://profiles.wordpress.org/sebastianrs/) and his last activity on this site was 489 days ago… I hope you find this conversation “sebastianrs” and can help to resolve it, otherwise we all have to find a new theme!

In reply to: Jetpack Site Stats won't load in WordPress 3.5I am having exactly the same problem and it has turned out to be due to my “Arjuna X” theme… I have therefore found and replied to a topic about this here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/arjuna-x-breaks-wordpress-35
If you guys are using “Arjuna X” too, please reply to the thread above – it may help fix the bug!
If you’re not using “Arjuna X” as your theme, try changing to “Twenty Ten” (for example) and see if that fixes it. If it does, post to your theme’s support forum or perhaps try disabling all your plugins to see if that helps! 😀

In reply to: [Arjuna X] Arjuna X breaks wordpress 3.5Arjuna X has broken various features for me too:
– Jetpack “Site Stats” no longer works in the dashboard and may not be logging my hits.
– Hovering over the wp-admin menu items no longer brings up the sub-menu for each one – I now have to click on each menu on the left to get the sub-menus!
Thank you so much for this! I updated to Jetpack 2.0 today and had exactly the same issue… the extra features are great, but it’s a shame we have to disable them!
If I declared a function using Exec-PHP in a page, I got this:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare time_since() (previously declared in /hsphere/local/home/username/rhobbs.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/exec-php/includes/runtime.php(42) : eval()'d code:76) in /hsphere/local/home/username/rhobbs.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/exec-php/includes/runtime.php(42) : eval()'d code on line 97If I then commented out the function declaration, the page came back but said it could not find the function I was trying to run.
Can someone re-write JetPack or Exec-PHP so they work happily together? 🙂
no problem… hope it helps!
it’d be nice if I could log into your wp-admin to take a look, but you have no reason to trust me on your site!
Here are the things that I did…
I upgraded from 1.6.11 to 1.7.1.
I loaded up Firefox 3.5.16.
I dragged my widgets back into “Right Sidebar – Top” on the “/wp-admin/widgets.php” page. A few seconds after they are dragged, their positions are automatically saved.
This, however, did not affect what appeared on the site at all.
I then visited “/wp-admin/themes.php?page=functions.php” (with Arjuna-X as the ENABLED theme, of course) and expanded the “Sidebar” section.
I selected my type of Sidebar (Right, Left, None or Two).
I dragged the slider underneath to the required width, scrolled to the bottom of the page and clicked “Save Changes”.
i already had 1.6.11 installed and then upgraded to 1.7.1 and the widgets had moved out of the sidebar into the “inactive” section, and I was unable to create a sidebar or change its size.
It turns out that I could not create a sidebar or adjust its size because of the browser I was using.
I have only ever done one fresh install of Arjuna-X and that was a year or two ago when I created the site. Everything since has been upgrades.
Sorry for the delay… I got things working by using Firefox 3.5.16. I use Linux mainly, so this was on my Linux machine, but I suspect it’d be fine on Windows too.
fantastic! today’s release of Arjuna X 1.7.1 has fixed the problem! SexyBookmarks now works in “new mode”! 🙂
Thank you SRS Solutions!
ah… they had all moved into the “Inactive Widgets” section of wp-admin Widgets section.
I did have to create a new sidebar though, but really struggled. Until I switched to Firefox. Then it worked fine.
I think the Arjuna X options page doesn’t work so well in Google Chrome… especially the sidebar bit with the slider.
You are correct – 777 is a bad idea, generally, which is why it is not 777.
I said I tried 777, but I put it back to 755 immediately after.
However, even if it was 777, you cannot rename or delete the folder by visiting my site because I don’t have any scripts in place to allow you to do that, and you certainly can’t send a command to apache to say “delete this directory, please”.
Anyway… has anyone had a chance to test this plugin with Arjuna-X yet and see if it works in “new mode”?
…but that does not mean i’ve found a solution.
that just means I’ve had to revert to the “old mode” setting in the plugin to make it work, but as a result I have none of the nice features.
“new mode” is the default now and “old mode” is being phased out.
The plugin is in “old mode” right now, so it works.
I carefully update all my plugins on a weekly basis, so I was definitely on the latest version when I opened this forum thread, and I have upgraded again today (before testing again) before I made this post.
I can see that I now have the option to set a custom path, but I have no need or want to.
The CHMOD instructions say “find the spritegen directory. These are the two directoring that must have permissions fixed”.
How can the “spritegen” directory be two directories?
Either way, I chmod’d the “sexybookmarks” directory itself and all its subdirectories to 777 before resaving the settings and the “spritegen” directory was still empty.
Plus, with “new mode” enabled, the facebook “Send” button and Google+ button don’t appear either (but that could also be to do with the empty spritegen directory and is potentially a separate issue anyway).
